Above & Beyond release their long-awaited collaboration with anamē, ‘Gratitude’ (feat. Marty Longstaff) on April 14 through Anjunabeats.

This collaboration marks the debut of anamē: a new alias from Swedish hitmaker Marcus Schössow and production partner Thomas Sagstad. 'Gratitude' also marks the return of Sunderland singer-songwriter Marty Longstaff to Anjunabeats, the voice of Above & Beyond's 'Tightrope' and 'Flying By Candlelight'.

Debuted during Above & Beyond's sold-out London festival at The Drumsheds in 2021, 'Gratitude' is both a jubilant vocal ballad and a tough, dancefloor filler. During Above & Beyond's winter tour, which sold nearly 70,000 tickets across the USA, the significance of this record to the group's dedicated fan community was immediately apparent. It has cemented itself as a future classic for Jono, Tony and Paavo, standing alongside some of their best-loved anthems like 'You Got To Go' and 'Thing Called Love'. 

Marcus Schössow's production resumé is extensive: he's collaborated with all three members of Swedish House Mafia, as well as Bassjackers, and has released on Revealed Records, Spinnin', SIZE, Armada and Axtone. 

More commonly found performing under the moniker The Lake Poets, Marty Longstaff rose to prominence with the moving acoustic ballad ‘Shipyards’. The song accompanies the opening credits to the sleeper hit Netflix documentary, ’Sunderland ’Till I Die’.

Comprised of Emanuel Satie, Maga, Sean Doron, Tim Engelhardt and Yulia Niko, four out of five members of the group come together on Disconnect. Following the release of the Starlight EP in May, Scenarios collaborate with songwriter, singer, and producer Hannah Noelle on vocals.

Maga, Sean Doron, Tim Engelhardt and Emanuel Satie deliver a warm but club-driven vibe on Disconnect. Brimming with emotive chords, tinkling piano notes and smooth drums, it’s the kind of tune that’s appropriate for a peak-time festival set under the sun or a packed-out afterparty. Hannah Noelle’s velvety vocals evoke a balmy atmosphere, snaking through a low-slung bassline and bright synthlines. A tangible blend of spiritual and vibrant energy, synonymous with the evolving collective.

Individually, they are known as Maga, Sean Doron, Yulia Niko, Tim Engelhardt and Emanuel Satie, each of whom are established performers in their own right. Together, they become Scenarios. Only two releases in, Black Coffee, John Digweed and streaming platform Cercle have supported the label, while peak spots on Beatport’s Top 10 Chart have proved consistent. As a collective, their beliefs and outlooks are shared – allowing them to truly grow as one whilst maintaining their individuality as independent artists.

Born in France, Maga’s discography boasts releases on Flying Circus and Get Physical. Israel’s Sean Doron has found a home on Damian Lazarus’ Rebellion imprint, whilst his Monochrome event series continues to flourish. Cologne’s Tim Engelhardt is a mainstay of German label Stil Vor Talent, as well as Diynamic. Berlin-based, Watergate resident Yulia Niko has become a world-renowned artist in recent times, with material on Watergate Records and MOOD. German producer Emanuel Satie is an award-winning artist with a slew of releases on Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels and Get Physical.

Ruben Karapetyan’s RKP welcomes Carlos Bacchus and Sebas Ramos to the label for their debut EP. Hailing from Colombia, Carlos Bacchus first emerged over a decade ago with releases via Smart Phenomena, System Recordings and his own Bacchus Records imprint. With a varied style that incorporates elements of deep house, tech house, electro, trance and more, the Monteria resident eventually settled on progressive house. Continuing to perfect his craft going forward, Carlos has been both creative and prolific in recent years, now boasting a discography with releases via AH Digital, Balkan Connection and Onestar Records, the latter of which was supported by Paul Van Dyk on his Vonyc Sessions radioshow. Meanwhile, Sebas Ramos has enjoyed similar success across his five-year production career. Releases via Anoka, Droid9 South America, For Senses Records and Elebated sit as discography highlights, as the Ecuadorian artist continues to craft memorable music with an emphasis on progressive and organic house.
