Mark gillet is a producer under badness records,,he heard my songs and sent us a contract,,the terms and agreement in the contract were trash so i sent him a message and said we respectfully have to decline the contract..next day i get a message from mark gillet saying that contraband is useless and we are not real..so i made a little track for him to show him and his people some real rap...i also mentioned dissed his best rapper in his click called Xzavier....search for badness records on google if u want more detail on them so u understand the song more..

The contraband live crew (C.L.C) is a brand/Movement. A formula for everything that works for a duo of the musically inclined. CLC is a compound name made up of two elements – the obvious live crew musical elements and “contraband of war” which they interpret as a Rebel, a runaway slave and the infamous tag line “slave master killer”. Before you get sensitive- the slave masters here are –ignorance, disease and poverty or their root causes because the CLC believes that “A man cannot be enslaved by another man, but by his own ignorance”, hence their thought provoking and evocative lyrical content. As revolutionary as they may seem, all they do is bare their lives and relate to the lives of others, by telling it as it is from their knowledge and experiences, demonstrating their strengths and exposing their flaws and imperfections for the world to see, which they so deftly express in two lines of one of their mix tape singles - “Everyone here has a haunted past, and we express the anger through poems and raps/ there is no shame here, only confidence/ stay on top of the water like continents.” – (Dark Hole). Their blend of music uniquely involves a less generic form of hip-hop, euro soul, rock, Afro beat and some hip life, but has been described by a few who have seen the group perform as soulful rock rap. With both of them fluently rapping in English and pidgin English, they appeal not only to the Anglophone fans outside of Africa but also to African locals who not only listen with their ears, but with their hearts by relating to the realness and rawness of the pidgin language. No matter how many times you hear them perform, it is always refreshing to see them go at it with such passion and intensity. 
The group began one year ago. When Paakwesi did an unplugged concert at Taverna Tropicana, a jazz bar in Accra, Ghana owned by Pavle Nikolic, a Diamond, platinum, gold and silver plaque winning Band member from the 70’s and 80’s Group Zana of Serbia and father of Melosh. After the event Pavle (melosh’s dad) introduced Melosh to Paakwesi and immediately after they had a conversation and realized how similar they were in their personalities, musical art, they decided to join forces and the contraband live crew was born. This mixed race group has an edge that is yet to be seen or paralleled especially based on that fact that, it is emerging from Africa with a group which does not only stand out because of its odd complexion (A Black African and a White Serbian African) but the amazing musical talent they posses in reality on and off stage and behind and in front of the camera. Musically, the only difference between them and the greatest artistes of our time in the world today is the exposure and the fan base, all of which is changing even as you read this bio.
Soon after their inception, they found themselves doing collaborations with Ghana Music Awards nominees and award winning artiste like Irene Logan, Trigmatic, and sharing a stage with label mates Efya, one of Ghana’s most highly decorated young artistes and Ofie Kodjoe a world class jazz and soul musician. 
Their musical influences are diverse and their methods are even stranger in some cases. Influences range from Stephen and Damien Marley, Nas, Fela, Sam Cook, Harry Belafonte, Enya, Tupac and Eminem, Sade, Dido, The Roots etc. Perhaps that's what gives their music it's uniqueness, or maybe it's their unconventional methods of songwriting. The group has penned songs on airplanes, during lectures and classrooms, in bathrooms and even in hospital beds. Inspiration is a major contribution, and it seems they're always inspired, be it by the pain of the past, hope for the future or the righteous interpretation they can give to the champagne life style they live every now and then. Being intellectuals with street credibility they are a unique blend of soulful hardcore geniuses with humor fit for stand-up comedy, traits that jump at you the minute their songs come on.
CLC is now finishing up their debut album, "Fire From Mars", a 14-track album, to be available digitally by end of April 2013.
