Riffing on a James Brown drum sample with a Goldfinger bassline. I purposfully played in an odd time signature making an interesting conundrum. If you concentrate on the bass, it sounds right, and the drums sound strange. If you concentrate on the drums, they sound right and the bass sounds played too fast. Concentrate on neither and it sounds like a complex track, even though both parts are simple. Changing one little thing like when you come in on a measure can drastically effect the way a song sounds.
