Michele Uccheddu aka 03SIDIAN, a sound artist based in Finland, is a percussionist, electronic music composer, and record producer, delving into the mesmerizing realms of post-club, post-techno hypnotic style. His work is characterized by sharp rhythms, hypnotic sequences, and evocative atmospheres, fusing electronic, synthetic, and digitally manipulated sounds into a unique and innovative palette.

Deeply interested in the intersection of nature and technology in experimental electronic music, Michele draws inspiration from the generative arts and the science of psychoacoustics. This exploration allows him to push the boundaries of electronic music, creating compositions that transcend conventional limits.

Improvisation is a central form of expression in Uccheddu's work. Using it as a means to explore the delicate interplay between nature and technology, Michele crafts unique and unexpected soundscapes that push the boundaries of electronic music. Through improvisation, he discovers new ways to connect with the natural world, fostering a deeper relationship between the artist and the elements.

Michele Uccheddu's achievements include winning the prestigious Premio Abbiati at the Biennale of Venice in 2014 with the "Galata Electroacoustic Orchestra."

Sounds For The 4th Decade, a compilation album by Meltdown Deejays Recordings, brings together an intriguing range of mainly Finnish hidden talents. As a part of Meltdown Deejays’ 30th anniversary celebrations, this album includes exclusive tracks from prominent Scandinavian artists such as Harald Björk (Cocoon Recordings), Torolf Stendik (Studio Barnhus) and one of the most established Finnish Techno and House producers Tuomas Salmela, aka Phonogenic (Moodmusic, 2020 Vision, Cocoon Recordings).

03SIDIAN - Five Pipes

Writing about techno is quite difficult without falling into clichés: there are only so many ways that you can say something about a music whose core elements are forged on deliberate repetition; where real talent is attributed to those who can find the perfect groove where nothing needs added or subtracted to hold the listener's attention for upwards of five minutes. 

Such tracks are the hallmark of Tresor's catalogue, and this joy in repetition can be found in works from Detroit, Berlin, Birmingham, Edinburgh, and more. And it is through this lens that Parisian artist, UFO95, focuses his output, resulting in Backward Improvement, an EP that sits perfectly in the spectrum of techno found in the Tresor chronology. 

The title itself makes an abstract reference to the influence of the classics of the genre, inspiring him to take a distinct less-is-more approach to production for this collection of stripped-down yet unrelenting techno chiselled from the live set which has fixed UFO95 as one of the next holdfasts for the future of the scene. 

Perhaps it is the fact the UFO95 only performs live that had led to such crisp and focussed studio productions.; each of the tracks showcase the artist's burgeoning talent for creating the essential foundations of techno; perfect, looping, instinctual grooves that are counterbalanced by an apprehensive tension from off-key tones. 

Backward Improvement marks the addition of a new name in the list of techno's best producers and proves that while the genre may now be in its 40th year there are yet sonic explorations to be made and variations that are worth unearthing.

Swiss producer Deetron makes a triumphant return to Rejected, marking his first release on the label since the seminal 2011 anthem Starblazer. A genre-spanning artist renowned for fluidly navigating the electronic spectrum, from muscular house via Nu Groove to pure techno on Laurent Garnier's COD3 QR and DJ Bone's Subject Detroit.

His new release, 'Discovery', is a rare excavation from the archives. Two long-lost tracks unearthed and reborn from the depths of his fathoms-deep projects folder. Reinvigorated with fresh production and perspective.

'The EP is called Discovery because it's based upon tracks that I rediscovered from a while back and re-worked for today,' explains Deetron. 'The title track was just a draft, created with the Alpha Juno 106. I added the bassline later on and put the finishing touches to it last year, so it has been a long process.'

On the B-side, 'Acid Scape' ventures into cosmic terrain. 'It speaks for itself,' he continues. 'I've long been making music that could be called Acid in some way, but I've never actually owned a 303. This piece in particular was made with an FM synth (Yamaha TX81Z) and reflects my fascination with space. A landscape on a distant planet if you will.'

A return. A rediscovery. A release that reminds us why Deetron remains one of electronic music's most enduring and forward-thinking voices.

Mike was born in Belgium on January 16. He has been an electronic music Dj since the mid ninetees. That was just a hobby, but afterwards he realized that become a dj is what he wanted the most. After a study break he seriously began DJing at rave parties & clubs. Mike is a SAE.edu New York certified Electronic Music Producer. From then he started to produce various acid techno tracks. Mike is a 303 warrior from the "Belgian Resistance" bassline family and he is the proud owner of rare vintage analog machines such as the infamous Roland TB-303 & Roland TR-909, amongst other acid toys.
During his expat experience he founded MMA Records in 2012 in Encinitas, California, wich is a combination of Analog Machines Tricks Vs Hard work Choy Lee fut Kung Fu Style that reflect the music orientation he wanted to achieve and offer to his crowd.
When he came back from San Diego, Mike joined WCIA in June 2014. WCIA (we call it acid) was formely known as Acidfood Concept where Mike took a great pleasure to participate before going to live in USA for 4 years.
In 2016 He founded Analog Experience Records (100%vinyl label) with his cousins. Yes it's an analog family business!
Since then their tracks have travellled around the globe and have been playlisted by New Era Belgian  DJ such as Charlotte de Witte, bringing them to the modern festivals.
