Dan and I have always loved writing songs together. Specifically pop songs. We're suckers for a catchy melody and something that sticks with you long after you've heard it. Sugababes were always a guilty pop pleasure of ours, and About You Now was no exception. Underneath the cheesy noughties pop-front, the chords and melodies speak of a darker and more raw side to the song. Combining catchy melodies with true and authentic emotion is everything we love about songwriting - so when it came to choosing something to put our own spin on, this song sprung to mind immediately. We hope you love listening to it as much as we did interpreting it. All hail the Sugababes.
