babbels in al baque, the literal proof of swarm intelligent bleak nibbling for algae in a cosy baltic see bay. its blue it’s yellow it’s a magic little cosmos of sunscreen oily slick on top a merely salty see. a wooden boardwalk, a big table aside a tedious birthday growd, small sausages on a prancing blanket and the promise of a long summer vacation. one cant help but wonder about the soundtrack of these doubtfull days in bustling corona heavy july of 2021. we offer this bass heavy, drum saturated vigilant creative fantasy, but lets speculate, and wonder! no skeptic suspicions though! only babbels in al baque.

“Under Downin” and above the covers a line of young-folk, fiercely drunk, excited and uncertain about the upcoming events of their long and hazy night appears to the trained eye of a 3rd person spectator. Inside, only two protagonists enjoy a preliminary calm, playing each other their favorite tunes, relaxing before the events of the night unfold. An organ-bass-heavy slow wave of air fills the empty halls, slithering hihats, a damped clap and a grossly distorted vocoder-esque voice is calling out your name. Shuffle your shoes and fasten your trousers … or not. Its fast its loose its heavy its smooth, because its still “Klapp Downin”! Hands and arms staggering adrift, abysmal stomping of barely attached feed, heads turning away from the crowd and into collective unconsciousness. In summary a human experience that hasn’t been deciphered yet. From these dramatic scenes on the edge of confusion, bass and ever repeating licks of sawtooth infused current, set of and reverberate back into known stuben spheres. Strings collecting a common goal, a faulty but refined picture of the future of which promises stick on ever so flourishing pads. We give you “Ori ‘n’ Downin” a contemporary fable of saddened significance.

Soft waves of noise floating in, bubbling creature like synths pushing to the surface as scary glowing seagulls circling over the top of fine ocean spray. Imagine now standing beside "Europacenter" on one of Berlins oldest and most modernly morbid sites. Now you can hear ploer en place. Listen to the 2nd testimony of our "Zitty West" soundtrack, our first attempt at a longplayer. This surely is one close to our teen-aged-hearts.

after falling from a color-tv-set you find yourself in a dystopian retro-futuristic berlin-west sightseeing-tour. the tour-guides are two boys in long trench-coats and falko-esque hats pointing at various criminological clues along the way: saturated sample-like realdrums, scary organ stabs, a pressing classic 70s-synth-solo and a sweet smoldering rhodes-piano. in the back of your head you are whistling a melody, reminding you of a sweet now and all the possible tomorrows. - no lyrics, just utopian whistling -

A joint venture, a journey to a star that might appear to be vacant. A bond of north, south and former west. A single urban blood pledge, lush landscapes at mystical sea levels, not the ones you spot with a compass. 

With this we set out to present, discover and scare the real sound of Berlin and aim to meet the essence of bustling modern berlin, somewhere between hiphop-kudamm (minicity), ndw-kreuzberg, and disco-schöneberg always on the lookout, always on the run from zeitgeist and frantic nothingness. leave behind your belongings and your valued system. we set sail for you to come with.

Melusine is newly emerged music label project of notorious stuben hockerz Till and David of „dürerstuben“. Beeing born and raised in early reunied north- and south berlin their first memories of potsdamer platz, kudamm and its retrofuture aera looks and promises made them eager to discover new grounds without losing touch with their roots. In accordance to this nobel but desperate plan they keep pushing FORBACKWARD, striving to take a sip of bustling modern berlin somewhere between HIPHOP-Kudamm (minicity), NDW-Kreuzberg, and DISCO-Schöneberg, always on the lookout, always on the run from zeitgeist and frantic nothingness.  

Melusine is set to combine these irreconcilable aspects and aims to capture berlins sounds, ideas and indigenous people. Once more the place is set, a playground for modern and long gone berlin romantics, a place to call home.
