Casting its net far and wide, from Australia to Finland, via the UK and Tunisia, One Eye Witness’ maiden VA drop gathers a quartet of the international producers who’ve come to pique our interest in recent months.
Starting with Tunis-based up-and-comer HearThug, who steps up with “Alien All Too Alien” - a steadily pulsatory, 303-marinated dasher interlarded with flocks of pugnacious talk box stabs and rattling drums, making it a proper DJ-friendly weapon for any hour of the day. Helsinki’s Jeku follows up with the tribal acid churner ‘Aftermath’, laying down a sleek, sub-heavy earworm prepped on submerging systems from under the deepest layers of the spectrum with its fluttering melody, sturdy basswork and FX-laden synthesis.
Flip the coin over and here goes London-based groove manipulator Sohrab, entering the melee with ‘Ataraxia’ - a hypnotic slice of stealth mode, Gaussian-blurred dub techno that does exactly what’s written on the tin. The final number ’Surrender’ comes courtesy of rising Sydney-based producer Cousin, who treats us to a tripped-out ethereal riddim making the rounds betwixt the vaporous serenity of ambient and deep dub vibrations. The endearing final brushstroke to OEW’s first Zeitgeistian snapshot.

The trio we are hearing right now have emerged from Ecuador, Ter Bandits are here for an audio story which is filled with the unprecedented frequencies that has come together for this mission to take shape in the matter that it did. Therefore, without further ado let’s begin. Going to be using some letters typed up which in reality will not describe what is needed as deep to the point it deserves, everything already has been portrayed and created with the music you can hear. To unveil our heroes one by one this extended play is made by Santìí from Router Music, the project and the man behind it has gathered big traction not only at the homebase in Quito but also have been roaring all over the globe with some absolute heavyweights of the electronic groove appearing on the line-ups of this mission. Santìí together with the brothers in arms called Cohema makes this alias we are witnessing come to life. So, let’s help ourselves dive in deep for the moment, for the duration of this musical stopover which helps us to see again our world of sound, it has been interpreted by these artists in the one-of-a-kind matter, filled with haunted beats and eerie rhythms. From Sweden with Italo to Dresden with love. Stockholm's @djdjcity drops his first release on Dresden's Uncanny Valley with the COSMICOMICS EP, a 100% fun record for all the senses, deeply inspired by Italo Calvino's iconic short story collection.

COSMICOMICS borrows its name from a collection of short stories written by Italian author Italo Calvino, first published in Italian in 1965. The stories have inspired DJ City to a record that aesthetically draws from 80s Italo Disco and 70s science fiction films. In the book, each story is based on a scientific fact about the world and the cosmos whilst using fiction to ask how we understand it. Where Calvino's stories are comical and absurd, DJ City surrenders to the sublime and romantic and moves further into the metaphysical world that Calvino created to come up with three energetic and melodic tracks bursting heavily with fantasy and drama. Deeply rooted in dance music’s history, they shine with Hi-NRG-vibes, strict dancefloor commitment and little easter eggs like that Drexciya-reference in COSMICOMICS.

The cover of the record is a painting from 2020 by Swedish artist Jens Fänge called THE INN. We see a man in front of the entrance to a Mediterranean-style building and a woman in a window on the upper floor. The picture seems to have been broken up into several dimensions, and abstract details make it difficult for the viewer to know exactly what and when the scene is taking place. When shown in Shanghai, the painting was censored by government agents and had to be taken down. A testament to the power of the image. Perhaps it shows our main character, perhaps it shows us the author or the artist. Depending on who listens, who reads and who looks, a multitude of universes open.

Meet Sacha Nakrishe, a Belgian producer from Ghent debuting his ‘Petrov’s Pudding EP’. A deep exploration of his own minimalistic essence, where subtle textures and waves meet dry and hypnotic.

The journey begins with "Pudding," a warm opener that sets a rhythmic shelter. 
Next, "Ruto" is a tribute to hidden complexities of musical language, merging tradition with modernity.
"Dogstreet" breathes the energy of city streets, a raw slice of reality. 
Finally, "Petrov" rounds out the EP with a meditative space for reflection. 

Petrov’s Pudding is a personal statement for Sacha Nakrishe blending warmth, groove, and thoughtful reflection into a sound that’s unmistakably his. Stay tuned for more!

The 3 musketeers are back, pouring new life into two more obscure, Italian techno tracks from early 90s.
Roby J's track "Charming the Cobra,” also from the "Where am I?” EP, originally released on Interactive Test records, in 1991. A real trip between psychic percussions and trancey synths.
The flip hosts Model Citizen, aka Gabry Fasano, another legend from the 90s Italian Progressive and Techno scene.
"The right to Dance and Learn" is a perfect after-hour house track, with a trippy arpeggio and deep, somnolent chords.
Both tracks have been extended by LOM, assuring maximum joy and mixing pleasure.

A city that keeps always an eye on the first steps of the far Detroit. 
It was born as a creative outlet for Idriss D’s (an algerian dj who fell in love with Italy) musical vision. 
Berlin and the minimal style showed their power during those years and our cowboy decided to give his contribution to the scene creating partly for fun the label Memento.
