A varied collection of unreleased stuff, all recorded and produced by me under various monikers/collabs across 20 years.

- Memeshift was born slightly after 2001 and has been my longest running moniker. Inspired heavily by my own take of the output of Warp Records and a lot of UK IDM and electronic music between 1997 up into 2004 (think Aphex Twin, Autechre, Plaid). Often orbiting around danceable 4/4 music.
- Moteng! is live, guitar/drums/noise stuff with Tengal
- .obat. is more meditative easy listens for background or foreground
- Maumo is a collab with Mauricio Takara mostly using Latent Sonorities RBI tunings

Recorded just last month (posting in July 2025), fittingly titled "June", with a light shower, and some light music. 🌧

This was performed with the Yamaha SY55, and mixed with a light drizzle that I recorded on my phone, complete with a happy frog. 🐸 If you listen very closely, at one point, you can hear a siren from the nearby street. 

The photo is one I took of the place I was sitting while listening to the rain that's in the recording.

This could be considered Soundtrack music, but I think it's closer to New Age. I hope you enjoy it. 😌

June (Yamaha SY55 Synthesizer + Phone recorded Rainfall, Recorded June 2025)

Morgan (he/him, USA/DE) is a practice-based music researcher whose output sits in the experimental field between academia and club music.

His work spans live electronic music, curation, lecture-workshops, panel discussions and the development of sample packs, tuning systems and other musical strategies to engage with materiality, diaspora, and the thoughtful resynthesis of new/traditional music.

Morgan's music productions draw from an archipelagic range of influences and intrinsic reverence for experimental computer dance music that can be described as playful, abrasive, promiscuous, feral and eclectic.

Last year, he released his debut album on Chinabot, which The Wire called "…a gently vaporous hulk of melancholia."

Morgan has performed at Cafe Oto, presented at CTM Festival, co-curated Soydivision's long-running Soy&Synth series, organized an online album co-release festival with folk-doom metal band Senyawa and 44 labels (mentioned in NYT, CDM), and was interviewed by Ableton about Latent Sonorities, a project that expands public access to sonic heritage for transcultural experimentation and research.
