First things first: thank you to @wakerlink and @bootsnakemusic for reviewing this track and giving feedback before I released it! I always appreciate your help, guys.

Back in the early days of Soundcloud memes - what used to be called "weird Soundcloud" and might now be called "Soundclown" - Skrillex memes were the bread and butter of the community. They were everywhere, mostly because Skrillex was so incredibly popular and influential on the Dubstep scene. You don't hear much about Skrillex these days, though, he could never quite reclaim the acclaim he got during the start of his career. That must be demoralizing...but on the bright side, on rare occasions people like me will remember him and make shitposts with his music. That's something, I guess?

Anyways, ULTRAKILL is a fun game, and one of the only games that I play intermittently these days. I don't have steam installed, so I just redownload the free demo off of itch.io, perfect-rank all of the levels as fast as I can, then uninstall it. I've finally learnt how to dash-jump consistently! (But as far as I can tell, the momentum preservation mechanics implemented into the slide aren't present in the demo version, so I can't do any super crazy speedrun stuff.) 

If you've never played it and are curious, try out the demo - it's free, and should give you enough content for you to make an informed decision about buying the full version(although, as a warning, it's still in early-access and incomplete). I'm doing a little rebrand as y'all can probably notice. Name and content won't be changing though. I'm just replacing the pikachu with a ditto now.

To those that care to know why the rebrand:
I've made this character around 8-9 years ago when I didn't really have any idea of using it. I didn't know anything about character design back then, I just fused 2 things I liked (minecraft and pokemon). I did adapt him over the years to be slightly more unique and look less like a 13 year old made it, but over time I've grown less attached to him. The idea of this rebrand has been an idea for a while but didn't really know how to go about it since a lot of avenues are overdone or just not something I would like to do. After careful consideration, i decided turning Krypto into a ditto would be the best option and one i actually liked the idea of. I still wanted to incorporate the main colors as i would think they are just as important as the character itself. I thought ditto would be perfect because no one ever uses a ditto mascot, it opens up so many possibilities on possible album or track art since it's not one pokemon, he looks silly, and I wouldn't need to ditch the pikachu character entirely.
(krypto being serious on the internet? imagine)

TL;DR
krypto's design is old and I wanted a revamp

the pikachu isn't completely gone, he'll make another appearance at some point

EVOLUTION
