At nineteen years of age, Guillermo “Memo” Duarte, known to the notorious night life scene of Chicago as DJ Me’ Mode, has played at countless venues with an array of recognized and established musicians. This College Freshman’s extensive musical background has earned him the admiration of many of his generation’s musical enthusiasts--and quite frankly has earned the respect of even the latter generations. Memo’s unparalleled passion for music began at an early age. His musical journey began at a local Church Choir where when noticed for his imaginative take on songs was quickly introduced as lead guitarists and singer. At age eleven he sought out to captivate a new musical culture, and saved enough money to purchase himself his first pair of turntables. Juggling an array of instruments ranging from guitar, drums, and now the beats of a table’ this kid was about to embark on a life he would have never imagined. Many grade school talent shows, city wide performances & rampaging house parties later; Memo has recently sought to captivate a new audience. 
This young and charismatic artist’s desire for success has lead him to the initiation of a new project: Rude Gentlemen--A production/performance trio of sharp, well educated, & refined young men. With what Memo calls “a fresh, new image aimed at transforming the stereotype of your typical Latino” these scholarly gentlemen will unquestionably have a say in our culture for years to come. Memo, now dropping lead vocals and producing a collection of beats fusing classical acoustics from his past to his current gritty Chicago house beats, says the trio hopes to inspire young kids who may have been raised in a similar context with no outlet for creativity. After only a few months together, their success has indisputably stirred up some buzz, especially among the many campuses these three have performed at. And the viral world seems to agree:

Memo may modestly laugh off his life in the lime light, but he reassures us new projects are already in place at their studio and finishes of with “We’re just doing it for the Music.”
