His signature grooves and melodies travel between elegant club-oriented Deep House to Breakbeats. The entire ep is a killer on the dance floor and catches the eye on the shelves with the usual full-sleeve artwork by Brazilian visual artist Fernanda Mattos. A must have.

Member of the IWOU crew and Sonartek, Italian producer NK aka Niki Ilb is back with a new release for Bebop Records. 

He co-created the Bebop label alongside longterm friend and collaborator Miki a year ago as he was coming with new music productions. As he sent them to Miki, they came up with the idea of a new label to release those last tracks. The name Bebop then arose from the strong jazz contamination Niki's music has.

As Bebop 001 was a strong break piece with a less club-oriented mood, they decided to go with some tracks for the club for the second record. Bebop 002 is a four-tracker EP that resonates between deep and dark, groovy and energised. Cementing themselves at the forefront of the action amongst Oslo nightlife Det Gode Selskab look to celebrate their decade long existence with a series of releases from an array of label affiliates. The first part of the 10 years release lands late November, and consists of refined curations featuring A:G, Alex Jangle & MatzaM, Felipe Valenzuela & Argenis Brito under their FAER guise, and another killer combo in the form of Deadbeat & The Mole. 

Firing things up is Norwegian producer, A:G, his acid tinged electro energy making a bold statement for the 10 years series, crisp drum arrangements conversing with the elastic bass groove in “Can’t Cure Curiosity”. Label regulars Alex Jangle & MatzaM enter the dance with their “Glowbones” track, driven house music at its finest, containing the signature shimmering synths and pads the pair can be recognised by. 

The flipside enters more stripped back territory, leaning towards minimal territory. FAER constructs an almost eight minute trip “Serious Repetitions”, distinct atmospheres simmer throughout, hypnotising as each motion melts into the next. The last of Part 1 sees Deadbeat & The Mole join forces, tribal like percussions lead you towards a mysterious path, and before you know it the warm bass is walking you down that same passage. Trippy elements circulate the body of the track which aptly rounds off this record, leaving a flavour for all the tastemakers amongst us. 

The Det Gode Selskab journey has been a colourful one thus far, and will undoubtedly continue to be as the key driving force behind the brand continues to evolve and develop, with a never ending yearn to create outside of the box, whether that be events, music and art. Here’s to 10 more.

Carefully curated releases make up the back catalogue, which has settled into a steady feed since a busy launch year back in 2018. Lanauze features on the majority of said records, nestled within a tight nit family. Artists who resonate the sound, and keep coming back with more. Ryan Crosson is one of those, returning for the next release.

Arguably best known as one of the co-founders of Visionquest, Crosson is an artist who fits into several families already. And why not, when it so often works. Continuous collaborations over the years include regular releases with Cesar Merveille, Guti and of course Shaun Reeves and Lee Curtiss via their own platform.
