We're excited to welcome L.F.T. to the series. The Hamburg-based DJ and producer is well-known for his new wave, break beat, and electro tinted style which is regularly played by Helena Hauff and Alessandro Adriani among others. He's released some incredible work on labels like Return To Disorder, Tresor, Mechatronica, Eye for an Eye recordings, Osare Editions just to name a few with an album scheduled for release this year. He curates concerts at the Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg and runs an experimental independent label called „Neoprimitive“. His session is an energetic electro delight, pulling inspiration from the dirty and distorted beats of The Hague with the 80's sound of San Francisco. Lock in!

This is an interesting turn musically for Identity Theft, it is probably the first time I have heard of atmospheric electro. Obviously there are other artists that could be counted into that genre, but it is the first time I have heard of it. Solid oldschool rhythmic electro meets the more atmospheric elements of genres like darkwave and coldwave according to Repartiseraren. Especially towards the middle and end of the track the atmospheric elements kick off for real.

There are of course hints of other genres within the music as well. A really interesting release, we're proud to exclusively premiere "Magic Mirror" a track from the forthcoming "Magic Mirror EP" out on Katabatik on the 31st of October. We thank Katabatik for this opportunity and of course Identity Theft, we're looking forward to future collaborations.

"Identity Theft returns to Katabatik with “Magic Mirror” EP, an addendum to last years “Omnia Vanitas” album , released on vinyl via Oraculo Records.The 4 songs here, originally composed for a few live shows in 2022/23, could be loosely categorized as atmospheric electro.Title track “Magic Mirror” juxtaposes Mandela effect and Q-Anon theory (via Snow White) to create a statement that transcends the worldly concerns of each. “Only Death” reasserts the Hellhammer-derived black metal mantra within an electrofunk paradigm, détourning it into a morbid banger, with additional commentary from William S. Burroughs. “Climb Off It” leads the listener through twists and turns- before winding up in The Twilight Zone “After Hours” mannequin lounge. Closing track “Fire” reinterprets Sister Irene O’Connor’s classic song, warming cold hearts with dubbed out melancholy"

While battling a rather nasty bout of rhinitis, DykeChow stumbled out of bed to her home studio to record a long-overdue DJ mix. Maybe it was a combination of the cold medication, her sickly delirium, and having slept for 20 hours straight -- this mix compiles some of the most terrifying and unsettling textures and rhythms in her collection. In fact, she was finally able to reach into her virtual crate labelled "too scary." Please enjoy this power hour of volatile beats collapsing onto each other in organized chaos.

Last year at Tresor 25 at the Tangent, Silent Servant surprised us with his request to open. What wasn't surprising was the result, where he elegantly mixes between every known tangent of his sound so flawlessly that we haven't been able to stop listening to this recording. Pure magic.
