The goal of this Cypher was to create a dope lo-fi instrumental hip hop beat using at least 1 sample from Memory Code’s sample pack. It's all about using texture, vibe, and pocket/groove to help the late night listener zone out to another dimension. The final mix is reminiscent of the beat tapes that producers use to shop their beats to emcees and record labels, and which have also become a popular listening format for fans.

Dream Tonic and Memory Code team up to deliver a chilling, dark downtempo twist on a holiday classic - “Jingle Bells”. A bass-heavy trip through glitched out bells, haunting vocals and warm sonic textures brings the listener on a journey into the mysterious and sensual aspects of winter.

Both black belts from ill.Gates' record label, Dream Tonic & Memory Code teamed up to deliver a fresh take on a well known classic. Warm sonic textures, glitched out pads, heavy subs and a melodic mashup of a universally known theme all set to lo-fi hiphop beats makes for a journey into a familiar but unexpected tonal landscape. This is the first release off of a 5 track EP of classical mashups.
