Trust is the secret ingredient that makes an event more than just a night out. Whether it’s a party or a festival, knowing that the people behind it are genuine music devotees changes everything. Mostra Festival has built that trust over time, and for a good reason—they’re music nerds through and through. For this week's mix on "Delayed with..." series, one of Mostra’s core members steps up to the decks at Barcelona’s beloved Laut, debuting a new alias: Corsair, the latest incarnation of Josh Hoppen.

This mix is a dispatch from the front lines of ExtraMostra, an international celebration of Mostra’s ethos that recently touched down on home turf in Barcelona featuring Josh Hoppen aka Corsair, Muted, and Memory Palace. Corsair brought the raw energy of UK breaks straight to a dancefloor that knew exactly what it wanted. And it’s clear from the first beat that Corsair knows how to deliver.
The set showcases Hoppen’s encyclopedic music knowledge in a natural and unforced way. It’s all about tension and release, powered by an ever-evolving array of broken grooves. If you’re the type who likes to label things, you’ll catch hints of halftime, jungle, drum and bass, dub, techno and even a touch of trance—genres that weave in and out like old friends at a reunion. But Corsair’s magic lies in how he blends them into a seamless journey, always keeping the dancefloor on its toes.

This mix celebrates bass in all its glorious forms, propelling the crowd into a state of relentless energy. It’s the kind of low-end therapy that shakes you to the core—literally. Sharp percussions slice through the air, riding atop liquid synth lines, while the grooves shift and adapt like a chameleon changing colors under the strobe lights.

Memory Palace x Extra Mostra

On April 22nd, Mostra took over Espacio Perpendicular for a few hours.

Mostra is an independent, small-scale festival of avant-garde and experimental electronic music that was born four years ago to nurture the Barcelona scene. Mostra is local, inclusive, and sustainable. An independent festival made in Barcelona for Barcelonans, but with international vision and reach.

The event, which took place during the day, featured performances by Mattikk, Emilia Grima, Pillen, Doozer, Haara, and F-on.

For this next entry in the Embodiment series, we’re proud to share a deeply atmospheric and intuitively woven mix by BLUME.

"Lately I’ve been dwelling in a strange in-between," BLUME shares, "and this mix lives there too. No bpm to hold onto, no genre to fall into. Ghosted rhythms, soft dissonance, moments of friction, and traces of fourth world brass dissolving into smoke. Not meant to resolve, just to linger."

Next up on our mix series is London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer, and event curator @Avsluta. She is the founder of Introspective Electronics, an ambient and downtempo platform that hosts regular radio shows, guest podcast series, and intimate listening events.

As a DJ and producer, her work navigates both listening and dance realms, fluidly moving in between chill-out rooms, clubs and festival dancefloors. Tuning into the energy of the people and spaces, the performances are fuelled by dialog, intuition and improvisation.
