Detroit songsters Who Boy paint a longing picture with "Golden Reservoir." Lead singer Jack Thomas channels a passenger bemoaning the train he is doomed to ride forever. 

The steady drum machine, coupled with syncopated lead guitar (Max Stutz) and bassline (Phoenix Eller), lay the framework of the train, chugging along without pause. The backing synthesizers and choir conjure imagery of an ever-fleeting landscape, obscured by the passenger window of the train's dining car. 

Who Boy is a synth pop band, founded in 2017. "Golden Reservoir" is a follow-up to "Toy Plane," released in 2017.
