Clocking in with their debut transmission on Stil vor Talent, Turkish outfit Headwaters & Menachem 26 team up on 'Pixel Desert' - a two-track single bound to take dance floors by storm with its laser-precise engineering of Middle-Eastern folk music tropes, 303-emulated acid basswaves and '80s-indebted synth uplift. True to the trio's trademark blends of immersive club narratives and heavy-duty jack, '8bit Desert' gets the ball rolling on a mischievous note. Pulling out typical Turkish-style harmonics processed through some eerie, spookily funky FX, which they fleshed out with a finely integrated layering of cinematic strings and obsessive lysergic swashes, the track packs some seriously magnetic punch. In what could be the soundtrack to an intense club scene in a Miami-based 90s thriller starring Michael Douglas or basically any Michael Mann flick from the era, 'A Touch of Love' oozes pure synth-heavy sensuality and kosmische-laced contemplation.
