Bonzai & Friends' second installment is a celebration of 2 decades of music of one of the world's most renowned, pioneering labels Bonzai Progressive - formerly Bonzai Trance Progressive. As we approach our 500th release we decided to create something that will go down in the history books and stand as a showcase to what we have become over the years. We've enlisted the talents of an army of top notch producers to help us along the way and these artists have been tasked to create 50 brand new tracks and remixes, tracks that will only be found on this exclusive celebration compilation, on this track we welcome one of the finest progressive house producers on the planet at the moment 'MENDEXX' who delivers another astounding slice of progressive magic with 'Dementia' .

The massively talented Scottish DJ and producer Mendexx returns with another fine slice of progressive house for our listening pleasure in the form of his latest two tracker entitled Quarantine. This one marks his 5th Bonzai Progressive cut with each one gaining great support. He's also appeared on several of our compilations as well as our Bonzai Basik Beats radio show. Always one to keep an eye on, this guy never disappoints.

Quarantine intros with a solid punchy kick drum and crispy hi hat combi that is soon joined by a raucous bassline that drives the track beautifully into the realms of deep progressive house. A tight percussion arrangement forms up getting the rhythm into full swing while whispered voices and surreal pads fill the groove. Melodic notes cut through the deeper elements as an intensity builds before the break throws out a scathing lead synth adding an extra layer of cosmic vibes. Sublime stuff that is not to be missed.

Virtual Voyage sets out with shuffling hi hats before a nice and chunky kick drum takes over. A deep and probing bassline soon comes through to drive the groove, taking us deeper into the progressive abyss. Cool riser FX intro additional layers of sound creating a rich tapestry filled with melodies and mystery. The main synth carries a subtle retro theme that works very well indeed with the modernistic arrangement. Mesmeric and hypnotic that one will not disappoint.

Mendexx returns with the superb Doppelganger. It's been a while since we've had him here, although we are enjoying his top-notch sets over on our Bonzai Basik Beats radioshow. For the last several years, Mendexx has been carving out a niche within progressive house, and he's done this with a plethora of quality tracks here on Bonzai as well as other labels. He has achieved numerous Beatport Top 100 positions and several number 1 slots on other portals. He has risen through the ranks, catching the eyes and ears of many which has given him a well-earned solid reputation on the scene. On the DJ front he has found himself playing at top venues in some of the world's most exotic locations outing him among the best jocks. Always great to have him deliver new material.

Doppelganger takes us on a mesmerizing ride through progressive house, wit a sprinkling of tech vibes. A solid beat drives the track alongside smooth, rhythmic percussions. A deep, meandering bassline controls the low end as swirling pads fill the spectrum. The main event is those striking synths that come through in various forms. Hypnotic chimes, bright stabs and cascading flurries combine to create a skilful display of synth work. Top-notch stuff that will not disappoint.

Cosmic Dust delivers a solid, chugging groove right from the off as a strong, plucked bassline powers through alongside tight beats and noisy, rhythmic percussive patterns. Darker elements show up, taking the track deeper, furthering intrigue. Haunting pads and strings combine on the first break before that chugging groove returns. On the main break we find an array of delicate plucks and breathy voices, which take us to the main groove once more the duration. A superb cut and a must have.
