This is dedicated to Josiah, who passed away from suicide on November 4th. He was my very first guitar student I ever worked with. Working with him made me want to improve for myself, really just to stay one step ahead! Even after our last lessons together, I stayed in touch with him over the years. from a distance, admiring his guitar progress, empathizing his lows, and being there as a friend in whatever ways I could.

the guitar you hear in the song is his guitar, my way of celebrating his life, dedication for music, and how much he meant to all of us. in the song are his final words to the world; "Cherish each other, don't lose your zest for life, always be kind."
