From the very first kick, "Bougie on the floor" drops you into a glitter-soaked night where the mirrorball spins and the crowd moves as one. Built on thumping disco basslines and four-on-the-floor kicks, this track fuses vintage funk with a modern electronic edge—perfect for both sweaty dance floors and late-night headphone escapes.

A remix commissioned by Bent and their label, Godlike & Electric (UK). Initially, I planned to use the whole song,﻿ but, none of my rough drafts satisfied me. So, I decided to create a new version using only vocals from the final part of their song (my favourite bit). Some of Simon Lord's lead 'ad-lib' vocals had to be manipulated (using Celemony's Melodyne) to 'sing' the notes needed to fit the new music. DJ Fresh - a much revered South African Kwaito/House & 5FM DJ - featured the full length (7min18sec) 'Soulchild Remix' on his "Definition Of House 3" mix compilation album (via the Soul Candi label).
