At least that's what we did in the summer of 2021, when the window of opportunity opened up for us to organize a small gathering after a year of the pandemic.

We are happy to share sounds from unique Mo:Dem Mutations events.

Mo:Dem Mutations V.1 : from 9 to 15 August 2021 
Mo:Dem Mutations V.2 : from 16 to 22 August 2021

Mo:Dem Mutations V.1 & V.2 took place on the lower part of the Mo:Dem location, on the banks of the Mrežnica river. Mutations were featuring our usual musical program, with a slight alteration. As The Hive stage was closed, visitors were able to witness a unique, once-in-a-modemtime experience of The Hive music concept on The Swamp island. At the same time The Seed featured a blend of The Swamp and The Seed music.

Once again we wish to express our love and gratitude to the friends, family, artists and visitors that supported us during these weird and hard times. Next edition of Mo:Dem Festival is scheduled for 8 - 14 August 2022.

The mix is recorded originally for Art Bei Ton podcast series, and with its multiplicity of layers and atmospheres is able to space between different genres and emotions.

An electronic music duo from Macedonia, currently based in Skopje. The name Binary Thoughts may speak for itself, but there is a much deeper meaning embedded within.

The ancestral way of thinking has always been 'binary'. To understand nature and all its phenomena, we made a world of oppositions (day/night, sun/moon, male/female). Where the law of "all or nothing” rules, there is no in-between. But the reality is indeed always more complex and more interconnected than what our 'perception' of the world suggests.

This perception beyond this “all or nothing” connected Ana Bogatinovska and Jovana Gjorgievska. At first strangers to each other, they met at a music festival in their native country; And after a long discussion about electronic music, they've decided to do a project that will connect their somewhat different but similar taste in electronic music.

Their melancholic, delicate and hypnotic sounds use 'binary thinking' as a motor to press on to a third term or a higher category that represents a transcending reconciliation or unity: where thesis and antithesis are always harnessed to yield a synthesis. Where seemingly opposite or contrary forces may actually be complementary: Yin and Yang.

Currently, they are exploring the vast horizons of deep and hypnotic soundscapes intending to create their unique blend of creativity to start producing their music.

Welcome to Miao podcast with OBRI from Georgia.

Giorgi Dolaberidze, also known as OBRI, is a techno/psytrance DJ and producer from Tbilisi, Georgia. With years of experience, he's become a prominent figure in the Georgian trance music scene. Starting in the mid 2000's as a psytrance artist, OBRI has evolved into Techno, fusing his passion with psychedelic influences. He's released tracks with renowned labels like the iconic Goa trance label Dragonfly Records, Diffuse Reality, Boshke Beats and Horns & Hoofs.
He is also a co-founder of Pitch Studio, a multifunctional musical space, and supports known or unknown artists to develop in the local scene.

OBRI's mix for Miaomusic is a journey through experimental and psychedelic realms, starting slow and gradually pulling the listener into hypnotic depths. Layers intertwine, blending deep textures with pulsating beats, inviting exploration and maintaining a playful soulfulness. It culminates in euphoric transcendence, leaving a lasting impression of wonder.

However the unusual situation, Josephine is able to always mantain her signature with long-form mixes and masterfully blend organic, dark textures with groovy, driving beats to create immersive music experiences.

Much more than a DJ, she is a unifying element of music herself – merging people of different scenes, as the music she plays does exactly that. Even more than 15 years down, for her, this is the most important reason for still loving what she does. A passion, that manifested over the years in psychedelic, hypnotic sets at Berlin's influential locations including Sisyphos and Mensch Meier. She enjoys immersing herself in the electronic and psychedelic vibes playing at the most amazing festivals, such as Mo:Dem as a resident, Boom, Ozora, Masters of Puppets, Waldfrieden and Bucht der Träumer Festival, to name a few favorites. Not only in the founding of the connecting platform xXETEXx, but also in every single event, there is real lifeblood, audible and tangible. Whether you find her in front of or behind the decks.

Typically for Josephine, she simply loves good music - across the boundaries of genre or bpm. Which makes her AYJO project the perfect complementation for her to inspire the crowd with dark experimental over dreamy ambient, dub to liquid drum and bass – yet always with a psychedelic twist. Expect the unexpected! 


She conceives that ‘Music is without borders, unlimited by genre, it’s simply a representation of taste’.
