This track has a story, and it started from a complete inspirational block. I had a spare time, but no ideas for new tunes. That time I was learning piano and helping my friend to promote his party with big names, including Shpongle and TAS visuals. To get into the mood I listened to Shpongle, watched TAS videos on Youtube and saw one called 'Trippy Frog'. After watching it, I finished a track within about 6 hours (obviously polishing and editing, mixing and mastering took months). And it was only the beginning of the chain of amazing things happened to me from that first moment. It still happening. Let's see where the journey can take us...

The release on Sentimony records also happened  unexpectedly. And what is amazing, most of the people on the compilation are my good friends from the ancient times when the world was small, and we were travelling to other cities to dance to some psytrance and finally became a big family. I am super proud that my dancefloor mates after many years became excellent producers.

"Folded Wave" feels like a walk through the Digital Garden itself. Scultped melodic shapes weave throughout this funky dancefloor tune, creating a latticework of harmony unique to Felix's compositional style. Smooth, groovy, and laidback are words to describe this tune. 

Hypnagog is the techno/alt-tech project of Felix Greenlees (aka Terrafractyl), a renowned modular-synth sorcerer and trained classical musician based out of Sydney, Australia.

This is probably one of most significant projects of the Fall season (last quarter of 2025).  Been working on Black Peaches for some time now along with another "bonus" EP coming up soon.  I wanted to compile several vibes that eases the soul, a type of afro rhythm / beat mixed in with some newer style genres (ethereal, house, and hip hop); you'll definitely hear a couple of nostalgic keys.  Album will be available on Bandcamp Friday (Oct 3) as well.

Standing Strong

Mental Extensions is the experimentally extending electronica of Felix Greenlees ( aka Terrafractyl, Hypnagog ) and Dave Kastner.

Born in the lush wilderness of Tasmania, Felix and Dave's musical journeys crossed paths in Melbourne, Victoria in 2005 and they decided to combine their experimental ideas and sounds into an extension of the frequency spectrum.
Mental Extensions released their debut album INNER REALITY with UP Records in 2010, a full length CD exploring psychedelic sounds, feels, mutating beats and bass juice combining organic elements with digital dubfunk spinning kaleidodelic, or maybe it's just music.
Since then Mental Extensions has played live at festivals including Dragon Dreaming (Canberra), Symbiotic Harmony (Tasmania), Sound Illumination (California), Sacred Earth (Wisconsin) and Entheos 2011 in Canada as well as helping Offworld launch The Mothership in Melbourne.
A live performance will typically see Felix mixing things up on the Laptop with a synth or two on the side and Dave will be banging out all sorts of strange sounds on some kind of magical electric box.
