Taking the Indian bass-scene by storm and bringing in a fresh new sound are the ‘Mental Martians’!. Featuring never before used Indian percussion with Dubstep , glitch hop and drum n bass to fuse together , a rich, melodic and aggressive sound that rips through the sound systems. Their sound is a heady journey which leads the into an uplifting progression from Drum and bass to Drumstep, glitch hop and dubstep. 


Mental Martians comprises of Sarvesh, Piyush and Tarang. Mental Martians is a brainchild of Sarvesh- an SAE diploma holder in Audio Engineering. Sarvesh started his musical journey from the early age of 16 as a producer and started dabbling in DJing . His influences have been as wide as soul to hip hop to reggae and dubstep, thereafter and believes in broadening his horizons. He corroborated with Piyush an SAE diploma holder and a dub aficionado as well which worked as a common bonding ground for them. Piyush started his musical journey at 18 as a DJ and a producer and has a penchant for Indian sounds. Previously he has been a part of the Asian underground duo ‘Deaf Bass Twins’.
Sarvesh and Piyush contribute to DJing, Music Production and Technical support for the collective. 

Tarang Singhal, the third member of the collective provides the live element. He began his musical tête-à-tête at a mere age of 8! 
He specialises in playing the Tabla, Darbuka, Djembe, Bongo, Drums and other improvised percussions that allow him to create live sounds that create mayhem at their gigs!
The collective was formed in January 2010 and in a very short span has managed to carve a niche for itself. They have played at the prestigious Sunburn Festival 2010. At MTC (Mumbai Times Cafe) with Nerm Chauhan {Shiva Soundsystem (U.K.)} & Pravvyprav (U.K.), Bass camp festival 2, 3 and 4 along with various other clubs in Mumbai, Pune , Jaipur, Bangalore, Chandigarh and Kolkata.

The collective is influenced by various stalwarts and heavyweights of the international Dnb / Dubstep arena like Noisia, Nero, Bar9, Trolley Snatcha, Bassnectar, Rusko, Chase and status among others. 

Together the trio has a unique scintillating sound which will leave you burning the dance floor!
