Maher Daniel is a long-time favourite of ours, and someone we've wanted to host on our mix series for some time. A native of Canada, he's been living in Barcelona for close to a decade now, and his is very much a global life outlook that's indicative of his colourful, dexterous and unpredictable approach to DJing and production. The owner of The Other Side label, Daniel is a real DJ's DJ, and it's no surprise that he counts some of the scene's most-feted names as supporters. One such man is Ricardo Villalobos, who's invited Maher to support him on his landmark '20 Years at fabric' party in the new year. That should be a special one indeed, and to whet your appetite a bit we had Maher provide a mix for us, recorded live from a recent gig in Miami. Island Tales 001- Hilu b2b Roni Amitai

Co-founder of the respected Zaza Island events, Roni Amitai has grown as an artist almost as quickly as her rapidly expanding record collection. Together with Hilu, they have grown their event series to an enviable level that has meant they are able to invite top artists such as Sammy Dee, Cristi Cons and the Half Baked crew, Anthea, Francesco Del Garda, and Traumer. The list goes on and on, and it will continue to rise and rise. 

Having been looking to bring Roni to the fold for some time now, we are happy to present her mix for your listening pleasure. Clocking in at just under 2 hours long, Roni is able to begin her trip with a smooth selection of 90’s dreamy house jams before peppering more underground sounds around the decks. Like the guests she welcomes on a regular basis Roni quickly moves through the gears and even drops back a few in order to take off in a different direction. This mix is definitely one for the diggers with an ear for 90’s house and techno, you won't be disappointed.

On their last weekend open I was invited to play and decided to make something special for the books. I decided to put together a short dj/hybrid set for the early hours in order to go out with style. This is the recording. Rest in power, Café Fluss!
