From Harry Light’s ‘Take A Journey’, to the Dub edit of ‘Lumina interioara’ from Doubtingthomas, Prichindel gives a taste of his current musical influences across an unrelenting hour-and-something-long mix. With his feet firmly planted in the groove, it comes as no surprise that there are lively vocals and enjoyable moments nicely intertwined.

The last time we spoke to Herodot, the Romanian was walking us through the labyrinthine Sunrise Hub that he painstakingly helped to create from the ground up. Incredibly, that was 2019 and a hell of a lot has happened in that time. Above all else there has been an unreal amount of gigs for one of Sunrise’s silent assassins. A clear favourite in his home country he regularly drops science at the likes of Sunwaves, Electric Castle, as well as venturing further afield to the likes of Air House in South Korea, Club De Visionaere in Berlin and Fabrika in Tunisia. The only think I could think of after I finished playing this mix was "I wish I was there!" Lucky for us, Alsi recorded the set and they blessed us with a 2 hours cut filled with breakbeat, deep house and minimal house, while capturing the essence of that magical night at Hoppetosse Berlin, where they played alongside Nils Weimann, Martin Glowacz and Leanca.

Crihan aka Discret Popescu

Since 2004, Alin Crihan has been quietly crafting his skills in the fields of production and dj-ing. Born and raised in Targu-Mures, a small, quiet town in the heart of Transylvania, the seeds of his passion for music were planted from an early age, taking various shapes and forms. A turning point came in 2009 when he moved to Bucharest, where he continues to grow and evolve into deeper and more experimental territories. Debut releases came in early 2015 on labels such as Naural and Ultrastretch. Behind the decks you can sometimes catch him playing in lineups that include Petre Inspirescu, Raresh or Rhadoo but also warming up for Sammy Dee, Valentino Kanzyiani or Maayan Nidam in various venues from his adoptive Bucharest at clubs like Guesthouse or abroad, like Robert Johnson in Offenbach.
