But sometimes you just need to ride the wave.....

This volume of Macrodose Sessions was totally unplanned, in every way. 

What started out as a simple Saturday evening jam session with a little microdose 🍄 at home turned into this musical journey which manifested itself, and very accurately portrays the exact inner experience I had during the process. It was originally just meant to be a private recording, but after erroneously uploading it publicly in my weary state, upon listening back it became clear that it was simply meant to happen.

Neither my Vek Neirbo or Kev Obrien personas take full credit for this set, the mushroom god really created it. I was merely its muse. 🍄 😅

Capodopere continues to etch its mark with a masterful eight release, this time from the enigmatic Vid, delivering two distinct sonic journeys tailored for devoted genre explorers.

Side A opens with Transpose, a captivating odyssey defined by a groovy dub bassline that anchors the track in a hypnotic rhythm. Layers of intricate percussion ripple through the soundscape, each element carefully placed to lead the listener into a state of fluid motion. Laib Und Seele returns with the second instalment of its compilation series, offering a snapshot of the sonic territory we’re currently navigating. From atmospheric openers to club-focused cuts, this collection brings together a range of voices across different styles — all united by a shared sense of rhythm, texture, and forward movement.
The release opens with Yoshida – Debno, a slow-burning track built on beautiful pads and evolving rhythmic patterns. Sitting somewhere between breaks and UK bass, it grows steadily into a tightly layered piece full of intricate drums and sweeping synths. Yesjar – Abwartz follows with a signature slice of trippy, groove-led techno. Hypnotic yet playful, it moves through unexpected rhythms and shifting textures, keeping things immersive without losing its drive. Gymnasty – Electro Boogie switches gears into high-tempo electro territory — robotic vocals, acidic basslines, and sharp 808s power a no-nonsense workout that doesn’t let up.
On the flip side, Hindwood – You Are Not Your Mind delivers a proggy, trance-tinged house trip. Packed with bleepy detail and layered pads, it builds with purpose, balancing introspection with body-shaking energy. Cassine – Everybody Glitch brings the intensity up a notch with raw synths, industrial-influenced textures, and chopped vocal samples that push the track into peak-time terrain. Rounding off the release is Alejandro Naranjo – Anna’s Guy, a UKG-flavoured roller that blends garage swing, deep basslines, and hints of tech house and prog to close the compilation on a playful yet weighty note.

Bunny Ross is a New Zealand-born DJ and producer whose sound is defined by polyrhythm and deep groove. A long-time jazz and neo-soul drummer, Bunny turned to DJing to expand his performance horizons, quickly discovering the power of blending live instrumentation into his electronic sets. His electronic journey naturally evolved from warehouses into production and studio work, where he developed a sound influenced by a wide range of musical styles, and his collaborations as a session musician.

In the studio and on the decks, Bunny explores the resurgence of 90s trance and house leading with his brand of rhythmic, dance floor-positive energy, always uniquely pairing modern productions with timeless classics.
