@alexanderskancke is a Berlin-based DJ, producer and rising talent within Europe´s underground house scene. The young Norwegian has made a sizeable impact on the electronic music scene, dating from way back to his early releases on Neostrictly, to the internationally respected releases on his own label Quirk (@helloquirk). Entrenched in his love for vinyl and analog productions, Skancke is imbued with a passion for the very roots of house music, but has also kept his ears open far beyond the boundaries of electronic music.

Skancke’s excitement for analogue is reflected in all aspects of his life: from his work at Bikini Waxx (a record shop in Berlin specializing in second-hand vinyl), to his fascination with vintage studio gear, all culminating in his music having a wonderfully raw and organic feeling.

The 3 tracks that make up his “Public Trouble” ep showcase Alexander Skancke´s knowledge of the history of dance music without copying the originals, but instead creating his own unique signature.

The A side - “This Go This Way” sends you on a crazy acid dream, driven by a hypnotic unstoppable beat with Alexander Skancke´s voice appearing out of the ether, before vanishing away. 

For the B1 track “Wind Sync” Alex teamed up with his label mates and renowned DJ- and Producer-Duo Foehn & Jerome (@foehnandjerome) at their studio in Berlin. Together they've masterfully crafted a light footed minimal house track with a slightly melancholic touch.

The EP´s title track “Public Trouble” truly shows off Alexander Skancke´s love for deep minimal funk: An ultra groovy piece of music based around tight beats and warm basslines, topped off with a funky stripped back synth line.

We’re back with another piping hot edition of TAN, featuring some fresh blood and a familiar face. 

Leading the charge is Dj Jim  - Legendary landlord and pub nobleman, supplying us with a clubby house ticket fresh off the cider press. Followed closely by our boy, Hanoi Roy - Vietnamese rollerblading icon and part-time carpet cleaner, providing something that’s deep yet driving, channeling that 80’s electro-funk feel. Next up, a fresh-faced duo, known commonly in the industry as a Pink n Stinky, but don't let that put you off, their tunes tell another story, offering nothing but class with their slick deep house and musicality. And last up, a man we’ve known about for a while but never had the pleasure of meeting. Some say he can speak to animals, some say he can’t. All we know is that he wears an eye patch and walks with a limp, and has gifted us a groovy summer soundtrack to round up our proceedings.

So there you have it, our next round of dodgy delinquents, here for a moment and gone the next!

Burnski's high-quality Constant Black is back with more essential club-ready sounds. Donnie Cosmo and Pascal Benjamin step up for one side of action each. Cosmo's 'Holo Glitch' is first and pairs balmy synth work that is colourful and silky with some punchy tech drums and rolling bass that pulls you in deep. 'Echo Drift' is another lithe and lively one to get you on your toes while the groove flows and 'Airplane Mode' is another stylish mix of lush synth design and great rhythm. Benjamin's trio on the flip is a little more gritty with industrial-space-tech many the most fitting way to describe these curious cosmic cuts.

Create Your Own Heaven' Album Started in 2022, the album spans 121 to 138 BPM, featuring 7 tracks and almost an hour of music. It blends Minimal/Deep Tech, Trance, Deep House, and House Music. Each track flows into the next, both in intensity and storytelling. 

01 - The Prologue [121 BPM]: This track posed a challenge for us at the label to categorize within a specific genre. Spanning over 11 minutes, 'The Prologue' opens the album, blending Deep House synths with a continuous groove characteristic of the Rominimal genre. The track's background features nature sounds recorded during a trip to the Serra Gaúcha. 

02 - Listen Me [123 BPM]: The lyrics of this track were written by me, reflecting a phase of my life. It's a Deep House track with House elements, and it's definitely worth paying attention to the vocals. 

03 - Ladies & Gentlemen [125 BPM]: Created using a sample from an interview where Elton John is the interviewee and Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) is the interviewer. Its essence lies in House, complemented by a massive bassline. 

04 - Dab Boy [127 BPM]: Also known as 'Ping,' this is a minimal track featuring floating synths that circulate in a stereo atmosphere, much like a ping pong ball. It also includes a hypnotic break with heavy resonance because. why not? This track leans towards Rominimal. 

05 - 24h Lockdown [129 BPM]: The vocal sample is from a scene in the movie Training Day featuring Denzel Washington during a heated discussion. It's a Deep Tech track with a unique groove. 

06 - No Turning Back Now [131 BPM]: A Deep Tech track with spacious synths and a continuous bassline. Its background also incorporates sounds captured by the producer. 

07 - I Think It's the End [138 BPM]: The final track of the album, completed this year (2025). 

The album's journey began in 2022 and is now ready. This track features Trance elements and deep acidic sounds.
