I've been on a big Naked Flames kick lately, and so I wanted to make a lo-bit EDM track in the vein of his recent albums. A 40-second sketch turned into a 6 and a half minute rager. Hope you all enjoy and the sound doesn't weird you out too much. This will be on a future Vast Error album so stay tuned for that!

Remembering Me

I know, wtf is this combo? Trust me, it WORKS! This was actually from a stream where I let the chat pick the VGM for me to remix live on stream. It ended up being a tie between Zelda and Kirby and chat was like 'do both'! So I did lol. I picked a random genre, landed on funk and started fusing Death Mountain and Gourmet Race. Pretty soon we realized that they were in the same key! A match made in Hylia. I would've never guessed these two songs worked together but man was I wrong. 

This remix did have its challenges though. One being that the tempos/styles of the original songs were quite different. Death Mountain is kind of a march style, and Gourmet Race is like a Polka? This song has 5 tempo changes, and tries to fuse both tracks into an electro house combo. Try to pay attention to the parts where I fused the melodies on top of each other's harmonies, I'm pretty proud of how those turned out!

I can now add accordion to the list of "unconventional instruments to use in eurobeat" I've managed so far. And for good reason, Kass' Theme is an absolute jam. I based my remix of it on the Smash Bros. version of the song, meaning it's converted to 4/4 time and based on the extended version of the theme. Also, I promise it's a coincidence that I uploaded a track related to a bird on the 4th of July...
