Biography:
‘Originally from and currently residing near Philadelphia, PA, USA. C-Lyn has been DJing for over 15 years, having her passion ignited for progressive music when she attended her first warehouse rave when only in her teens. Her love for the music really took off and hooked her after seeing the legendary duo Sasha and Digweed at the infamous Twilo in NYC. A few years later her DJ friends who always recognized her passion for the music, encouraged her and helped her on the road to realizing her dream of DJing. So far throughout her ongoing DJ career, she has had multiple guest appearances on Frisky Radio for X-Chrome and Feeling Frisky and her own residency show called Symmetry on Progressive Beats Radio which ran for 3 years until the end of the station.  She now has a residency show on the fantastic Subcode Radio going on 3 years.  C-Lyn always leans to the dark techy melodic side of progressive and techno and always aims to take you on a musical journey with each and every set she creates because that is always what the music does for her.’

Hello everyone and welcome! If you don't know by now, this is the infamous Il Modo Progcast, a non-stop delivery of exclusive DJ mixes bought directly to your browsers by the world's finest music selectors. Every week we hit up another dance-floor hot spot, so let us see where we are today... 

A few weeks ago we debuted the series in Peru, the feedback was so good yet another fresh new DJ has emerged for you to wrap your ears around. In such a short space of time he's already establishing himself within the higher levels of our scene... please make some noise for Josema Romé !

Josema Romé is a DJ, Photographer and Musician based in Lima, Perú. He started DJ'ing in 2020 when the global lockdown was ongoing, and his band "Folka-Nova" couldn't meet to practise and create due to severe restrictions in his country.

This was when Josema discovered a new passion - Electronic Music, which soon flourished into something big. Since those very first days connecting with the scene, and mixing tracks together, he knew that Progressive House was the way. 

Very much influenced by the Progressive Rock and Jazz music genres of the 60's/80's, Josema is now helping to make waves in the Lima underground music scene. By fronting two musical projects his aim is to promote this scene to the outside world. The first one is "The Artisan's Path" where he puts together an artisan and a DJ and films the DJ set while the artist works on a piece of art The final product is a unique handcrafted item, utilitarity or ornamental, (or both)  that promotes the artisans work, and an audiovisual production promoting the DJ and his music which is shared online across the globe. And secondly he is also a co-founder and resident of Scale Collective (@scalemusic.pe) promoting the Progressive House music culture by organising parties around Lima.

About Hernan Serrao:

Hernan Serrao is an Argentinian legend in the electronic music scene, renowned for his dynamic DJ sets and innovative productions. His journey began at the tender age of 16, when he started DJing and soon found himself opening for iconic acts like Grace Jones, Donna Summer, and Gloria Gaynor at illustrious clubs such as Buenos Aires News, now known as Crobar Buenos Aires.
Serrao quickly established himself as a resident DJ in some of Argentina’s most acclaimed dance institutions, including SuperClub, Opera Bay, and Club Pacha Buenos Aires. His reputation for delivering unforgettable performances also led to numerous guest appearances across the country, at prestigious events like the South American Music Conference, the Renaissance party at Crobar, and Sobremonte in Mar Del Plata.

As his sound evolved, so did his reach. Hernan began playing at top venues across South America, in countries like Brazil, Peru, Chile, and Paraguay, before expanding his influence globally. His international tours have taken him from London to Amsterdam, and from Denmark to Slovenia. Notably, he was one of the first Argentinian DJs to perform at The Gallery at Turnmills in London, sharing the stage with renowned artists such as Ferry Corsten, Renato Cohen, Tania Von Pear, and Natalia Data, and participating in the illustrious Global Underground tour across Europe.

Hernan’s signature sound, which he aptly coins as "protech," is an elegant fusion of deep house, progressive house, and tech house. His sets are a masterful journey, weaving in and out of styles to tell a complete story. This unique approach has cemented his reputation as a master storyteller in the world of electronic music.

For the past 12 years, Serrao has also been the host of "Groovenight," a radio show on Proton Radio that airs every fourth Monday of the month. This platform allows him to continuously refine his craft while discovering and showcasing the newest and most intriguing tracks in the electronic music scene.

Beyond his DJ career, Hernan has released several records on European and American labels, further solidifying his position in the global electronic music community. He has released productions on esteemed labels such as BC2, Pro B Tech Music, Hexagonal Music, Mirabilis Records, Polyptych Limited, Capital Heaven, and A Rec. Additionally, Hernan showcases his own innovative sound through his label, Groovenight Records, continually pushing the boundaries of electronic music and influencing the next generation of artists.
