The insects came at night
hidden within some of my old friends.
They searched our mouths and ears 
for the opening
of the virtual communication cluster.

Blood was there,
the core method
for the transformation of our species.
Ready for the taking.
The entrance 
was placed in the
implantable cell phones
we had all adopted.
An energy source was not needed.
Intimacy, attention, security, containment.
All empty forms full of fire.

They came at night
through brain-to-brain internet communication.
They came with heavy metallic instruments
And thick boots made of light.
They came at night,
as a furious adaptation 
to the isolation of the social, 
carrying sparkling weapons of sound.
They scattered their seeds and diversified,
such thick waisted pleasure seekers
and their young attendants in the fields.

One opening, one door
That is all they sought.
We never actually met in the flesh.
Telepathy would undoubtedly increase
with their coming,
but the clouds were heavy 
and the invisible steps 
led so much higher.

Nature is conservative
after all.
Always disguised by the most simple
of obstacles. 
One needs eyes to see.

The Most Simple Of Obstacles

In fire born
from subconscious fantasies.
To fire surrendered, 
to unfamiliar needs.
A forlorn form
more alien than a stranger.

This never ends
not for those 
who brave the metamorphosis,
who brave
the serpent's knot
separating our
vertical and horizontal 
identities.

A serpent's line,
the transmission of a mind
with flesh wrought
in genetic flux,
in space and time,
through random mutations
through chance and luck.

Horizontal Identity

The stars exploded
and they coupled with themselves.
All possible pasts and futures
all bursting at once
creating an infinite etheric pattern
across the universe.

The houses we had left 
were still blazing
with various levels 
of complex organization.

We divined the etheric patterns
that would make us stars,
archetypal god and demon forms
blazing across the universe,
mental events as material structures,
sexual reproduction 
or the writing of books.

The cats and dogs outside were howling
at the often unrecognized problem
that we once faced.
The fathers and mothers
were left on their porches.

We looked skyward at the moon.
Telepathic coupling was less reliable
at this time.
We amplified the element 
of pure random behavior.
Trails appeared 
with the poems we had once
whispered.
We left behind any illusory certainty 
about the causes.
We became stars
kia, spirit
free will.

Like affects like.
And we lit the universe
by deed and memory
by indeterminate 
chaotic occurrences.

Such indeterminate events 
cannot be recovered.
In these places exists 
only the void.

Backtrack

The authorities have launched an investigation 
into the origin of a brand new super-potent form of samadhi. 
This invisible etheric substance causes individuals 
to perceive their ego as a direct emission of the highest vortex of creation.
The new state was first discovered among a group of local middle schoolers.

"It is necessary to penetrate quite deeply into these things"
the school psychologist stated. 
She became aware of the new situation 
after six girls reportedly started "freaking out" during lunch,
saying that their ego had become permeated by an alien presence.
Upon examining their cerebral cortex 
it was found to contain a trace amount of the unknown etheric samadhi.
The psychologist became very alarmed. 
"I mean I would have never expected this."

"The doctrine of the harmonious development of a human is to be understood
as a journey which must begin with recurrent conscious labor,"
said one of the teens to our reporter.
We have now ascertained that more than half of their statements have to do with the Big Bang.
"We have become a single, indivisible whole guided by a singular essential master."

The invisible substance was so potent 
that the samadhi could be transmitted through skin to skin contact.
It would then freely stream into the inner centers of the body,
melting down the chief and subsidiary forms of habituated buffers.

"It remain unclear where the samadhi came from,
at this point we know that it will cause the number of your days to become full of inherent strangeness
and purposefully incorrect behaviour."
said the psychologist.

At this point we have no clear theory
on how the teens originally fell into the hypnotic grip of such a new post dualism.
They characterized the ordinary human individual 
as being actually a multiplicity, fundamentally structured by three brains.
They insist they are now on a path of fulfillment of cosmic duties 
towards possible union with the Big Bang.

Late last afternoon the teens were taken to the hospital for treatment 
and then released to their parents.
Even as they were being driven home, 
they continued to explain their strange theories to their family,
how the ego must properly indwell the three brains of the human machine.

"This will lead to a more prolonged awakening of the innate sense of objective conscience,"
the last remaining girl said to our local reporter.
"It would in fact be not only wasteful but even harmful to exert energy and attention in the direction of changing social life."

Their ultimate fate will be determined by the authorities. 
They may be sent to an alternative school for juvenile delinquents
after it is determined that they don't present any further danger.

Etheric Substance

Grandma lived her childhood in the mountains, as most humans did back then. 
In her twenties, she became a close friend of J., 
who introduced Grandma to the mutants. 

"Long ago, life was very different," J. said.
"The mutants became shadow scavengers about 15,000 years ago,
There weren't many houses back then, only just a few.
People who had the mutation were unusually friendly with strangers,
tricky and mischievous but friendly.
This trait gave rise to a mutant population that was willing to come closer to humans.
They probably started out as some kind of humans themselves. 
And that is why it is so hard to tell them apart."
From the fire of cremation to the waters of the great sea,
mutant and human would travel together for thousands of years. 

Two decades later, J. sent Grandma the first of the infamous mutant letters.
"We all have been around so many times 
that every one of us has been everything with everybody else.
This relationship between humans and mutants is no different."
J. wrote these things but nobody who saw the letters was sure what he meant.
"These mutants developed a unique ability to read the actions and intentions of humans,
but, at first, they were not our friends.
Humans started to figure out what to do with them much later. 
Eventually, it became impossible to tell them apart with the naked eye.
But they knew, they always knew."

Years later, just before dying, Grandma tried to explain it to me: 
"Mutants needed the humans to complete themselves.
They were somehow lacking in their inner chemistry,
there was something they needed from us.
When he brought me to them, I felt instinctively at home.
It was a beautiful symbiosis."

She turned to me with her great big eyes and said:
"Someday you will meet them, 
and you will know it.
There will be no way to deny it. 
That is the day when you will wake up.”

The book said:
"The current effort on the part of this author is aimed at
understanding the performance of these large yellow suns.
Dramatic structural changes occur inside of them 
through the evolution of large numbers of green stems.
Interest and commitment of time and self are needed
to achieve the unique pleasure that is derived from finding meaning."

I thought:
The fluttering heart
Was described as the
Call of the chosen.

The book said:
"Every detail is not known of the sequence of discrete changes
that happen when a subjective solar event occurs.
These changes occur instantaneously all over the sun in specific circuits.
The meaning of the subjective event 
determines the specifics of the molecular cascades.
The native language of the individual sun
is modulated by nonverbal language elements:
the synchronous oscillations and changes in electrical potentials
that are exchanged between green stems and sun cells."

I thought:
The book
Was red covered 
and contained within it
a single green stem.

The book said:
"Each yellow sun functions as a book. 
This book contains at least 13 billion active elements. 
It stores trillions of program properties. 
Constant and continuous computations are being done giving aim and goal. 
The green stem somehow swallows, transforms and creates information and meaning.
This is just part of the life of a thought in the sun,
which continues beyond the reach of green stems 
out in the extracellular space." 

I thought:
Maybe the clouds
Make the stars shine
In the golden rays 
of a setting sun.

One day I showed up in this town of cobblestone streets.
It was mid afternoon and 
there were women sitting on the side of the road 
and many baskets of multicolored clothes.

One of the women was a Spaniard.
This Spaniard and I became very good friends because of our common language.
I had done my own research on these matters of intentional friendship.
I studied electrons as the active source in any such electrical engagement.
Our front to front position insured 
that the flow of the magnetism was counter-clockwise.

It had taken me many years of sweating technicalities.
With her I learned the use of the electrical exchange substance 
for the purpose of intentional suffering.
Her beauty was easy to read.
Her brown hands were usually folded neatly on her lap. 
Her fingertips were slightly dark.

After the seventh night, something happened.
It was night and at first I did not notice it.
The dark clouds gave it away. 
What had occurred between us
was a true mixing of substances of different rates of vibrations.
I was suddenly very cold.

I closed my eyes and found myself nearly frozen
walking through labyrinthine halls,
wandering around in fear and darkness.
One of the most dangerous aspects of the use of the electrical exchange substance

For our final trick
we revealed the secret technique 
of ingesting the life fluid.
It was a vanishing act.

We gave them this revelation 
when we took them with us
into the deep darkness of space
where all memories dissolve.
There we had to once again learn
what we had traveled so far to show.

In the darkness we found
a box, a boat.
In this dark ocean of emptiness
we caught its life fluid 
in order to demonstrate that such behavior 
was necessary for us to live.
The substance of the son 
would now be restored to the father.

The boat was too close to death
to be hospitable.
It was a cold ancient tomb
and actually quite old.
Before it, we were meat for worms,
moribund dregs on our way to oblivion.

We found that the boat would not lose its cold atmosphere over time.
Unless we ate its flesh and drank its blood, 
there would be no life in us
we would become a cold tomb onto ourselves.

But through the ritual
we became cosmic crustaceans
inhabitants of the emptiness
we became larger and larger
as we tried to envelop the boat's mass.

It was then time to show them
the secret method of ritually collecting the life fluid.
Having not quite forgotten it all
we initiated an electrical exchange with them
a storm of sound and lights.

Our experience with the boat told us that
we would at last perfect dematerialization.
If we could make rocks, 
we could make life.
And then we ate our own life
and we saw the fluid restored to its source
and life and death became a shining spiral
and we remembered they were us all along
and it was time to return.

How did I come to write an analysis 
of the deep central nervous system
and why am I equipped to write it?

Due to my particular psychological disposition
I came to live on the fringes of the world.
Through drugs, hypnosis, 
dietary restrictions, and self imposed compliance
my skills were advanced tremendously 
and I came into contact 
with incredible technologies.
I learned of a devil on a spaceship
and I saw the Black Shades in action.

What do you need to know 
about the Black Shades?

First of all, 
all complex organisms have a social network 
committed to its own perpetuation.
But there is another operating system 
concealed behind the one that is visible.
(This is always hard to see
and extremely easy to forget.)

The Black Shades were a cabal created 
to connect to the visible central nervous system.
Its operators mainly acted in the light of day
as spies for the dark united central system.
Their capabilities were sophisticated
their invasiveness breathtaking.
It was easily possible 
for them to wreak havoc
halfway across the globe
without much effort.
They were relentlessly well entrenched
and unimaginably powerful.

But they were neither omniscient nor invincible.
This I came to understand eventually.
I have had to bury this dog deep 
and I have often changed the site
of its secret burial.
The reasons for this should be clear by now.
