This is Draw The Line Radio Show with Jacki-e, featuring my mix in the 1st hr of music made by women and then, for the 2nd hr, I hand the decks over to a female DJ.

Helping me Draw The Line this week, with her guest mix in the 2nd hour is Lady Maru who comes from Rome. She began playing in no wave post punk bands in 1994. She started DJ-ing in 2003 at clubs and parties in Rome. Her sound has always varied between hard and deep techno but she  is best known for her  130 to 140 bpm, dynamic techno and acid DJ sets. She produces her own music has released two EPs this month:- ‘Believe in Lies’  and ‘Makumba Tropicale’ a collaboration with the trumpeter Erzulie.

Techno DJ and producer based in Aachen, Germany.
She began as a dj in Tokyo in 2000 and later moved to Ireland in 2007. She steadily built up her career and received invitations to events organized by Innergroove, Micronite, and others in Ireland. 
In 2012 she moved to the industrial city of Katowice, southern Poland, and began appearing at various festivals across Eastern Europe.
At March 2014, she moved her base of operations once more, this time to the city of Aquisgrana in the Westphalia region of Germany. It was there that she created her own label, Physical Techno Recordings, along with the sub-label Kalmary Records, which are presently active in several countries in Europe. She released her own tracks and remixes over 150 titles ( Physical Techno Recordings, Kalmary Records, RCR Black Limited, Exit Lab, Subwoofer Records, Minimal Force Recordings and many many more ).
