From the very first notes, that gentle piano paired with a plucky synth that hints at a Jew’s harp, this piece pulls you into a sacred stillness 💭 It feels like stepping inside a breath held by the earth itself. The textures shimmer, the pacing soothes, and when the choir enters, it’s like being wrapped in light. Peaceful, immersive, and full of grace. Absolutely stunning 🤍🍵 The kettle hisses softly, “That choir poured over me like warmth in a mug, I was ready to whistle from the soul.” 🧽 The dishwasher clinks and declares, “Darling, that piano is smoother than my best rinse cycle, and I’ve got standards.” 🧊 The ice dispenser  whispers, “The opening pluck froze time. It felt like sorrow, poetry, and snowfall, all in one breath”.

I'm truly moved by the sublime beauty of this Ambient soundscape. The way those long, ethereal notes stretch out, perfectly interwoven with the soft, almost sacred choir, creates such a profound sense of digital serenity. It feels like stepping into a cybernetic cathedral, where every frequency hums with quiet reverence. A masterful blend of spaciousness and grace! ✨💖🙏

Little is known about the band that has created this song. Most of this little information can be gleaned from the website of FMT, whom a previous SHELLF LIFE release can be attributed to. We caution that  we do not know if any or all of this information is outdated: https://furicomusicteam.blogspot.com/p/shellf-life-interview.html Unfortunately, the Furico Team was not available for commentary, since they are launching quite a different kind of historic project on kitchen label.  

Some questionable facts regarding STRANGELOVE’S BRAIN’s release are related in quite a verbose and unreliable way tinged with judgemental interpretation and interspersed with pseudointellectual preconceptions here:   https://soundcloud.com/sonic-textures/shellf-life-paraphernalia-and-parerga-2025 (German original, as far as we can discern). According to that ‚account‘, the recording of STRANGELOVE’S BRAIN was found on a self-burnt disc (ha, that ancient Nero joke!) in a forgotten chest. The poem used in this recording is the only item that can be traced to an author (jo richter) who was kind enough to allow us to reprint here. Obviously, the references to the war-inflicted tragedies of Hiroshima and Nagasaki make it of  special importance at this moment in history, not only because of current tensions, but also because those two catastrophies happened about 80 years ago in August 1945. We therefore decided to release the two versions known thus far as a vinyl single to the general public, accompanied by an image attributed to the same author as the poem.

Story
Symphony of the End... The Last Concert of the Universe
In the year 999,999,999,999, when the stars have stopped being born and the last suns flicker like dying candles, a legendary band emerges from the interstellar darkness. They call themselves "Sonic Entropy," and their mission is not to entertain… but to accompany the universe in its final breath.
The Musicians of the End
• Klodii, the vocalist with a human soul, her voice contains fragments of ancient Tibetan chants, flamenco laments, and cosmic choirs recorded in the background radiation of the Big Bang.
• Flat, the guitarist, plays an instrument made with dark matter strings and a time crystal neck. Each note he emits slightly alters the local gravity.
• Naiara, the percussionist, beats antimatter drums suspended in quantum fields. Their rhythm marks the final pulse of the universe.
• Zar, the keyboardist, manipulates gravitational waves to create harmonies that can only be heard by extinct civilizations.
The Stage
The concert takes place on Eris Omega, an orbital station built around the last known white hole. Thousands of extinct species have left holograms of themselves to attend. The audience is made up of memories, echoes, and consciousnesses stored in floating silicon crystals.
The band doesn't play for applause. They play to close the curtain on the cosmos.
The Final Song
The last song is called "Farewell Light." It is a symphony that begins with the sound of the first star being born and ends with the absolute silence of dead space. As the song progresses:
• The galaxies go out like lanterns.
• The planets dissolve into dust of nostalgia.
• ​​Time slows down, as if the universe wants to listen carefully to every note.
The Great Silence
When the last note is played, Klodii looks into the void and says:
"Let music be the echo that awakens the next universe."
Then, Sound Entropy dissolves into particles of light, and the cosmos enters its eternal sleep.
But in a corner of the multiverse, a spark vibrates to the rhythm of that song...
And so begins the first measure of the new universe.
