‘Riddled Form’ is Merci Jitter’s analytical-take on compilation-like formats. Continually motivated by multiculturalism, the project collates a set of tracks from a handful of international artists. Presenting a more emotive-form of club music, one that oozes with urgency - the London-based platform now looks towards the current state of things and reflects on a generation that is considerably at odds with itself.

Riddled with angst, anxiety, world conflicts and social media, ‘Riddled Form’ investigates how this generation interacts and grows within this ambiguous environment. Exploring ideas of hedonism, introspection and frustrations towards technology, artificiality and reality - the compilation showcases harsh yet subtle compositions that subconsciously underline the aforementioned thematics. The 10-track project points fingers in both ambiguous and subjective ways, each track succeeds itself in a narrative fashion and gives new meaning to each other along the way.

Subreal is pleased to announce its sixth release, War Bride (SR006) from label co-founder Amazondotcom. 


Amazondotcom returns from a hiatus with a new 5-track EP, full of sonic and emotional dimensionality. In this work, she continues her ongoing investigations into twisting rhythms, deep sub-bass, heavy percussion, and the intertwining of organic and synthetic sound design. 


According to the producer, she worked with longer, but often simpler, loops to fill repetitive time with variation, which was reflective of her own personal time during production. She began these tracks with the “simple idea that small feelings and perceptions can scatter and morph across time, taking on their own narratives and life forces. This can happen melodically, rhythmically, in dance, and in personal and/or political experiences.” 


Amazondotcom is a music producer based in Los Angeles and one of the founders of electronic music label Subreal. Her first solo EP, Mirror River, was released in 2019.

Amazondotcom - The Most Foreign Country

As an introduction to their forthcoming “Novox 10” anthology, Skyshaker shares their thoughts on the current state of ballroom alongside two members of the international community. With the blessing of fellow SVBKVLT stalwart Hyph11E, her cavernous “Escapism” track serves as the backdrop of a startling confrontation between three international members of the queer ballroom community.

Mexico’s Lenchanter Medussa infiltrates the next evolution of “Escapism” with a disembodied Spanish-language taunt that literally reaches critical mass. Skyshaker’s “Vemanei Transmission 072720” is a sobering moral reckoning with unspoken violence and power dynamics underneath the glamour and theatricality often associated with the young queer subculture. Tokyo’s Chris Eclipse closes the release with a classic New York chant with an African prince-inspired music video to match.

In Sky’s own words, “Ballroom is at yet another crossroads in which they have to decide how much to embrace the corporate America that now smells money on them. Not everyone is okay with the way they are being observed, not everyone is okay with that scent.”

Anciennement Rorschach, Zano_Mato démarre sa nouvelle émission sur les ondes de station station avec une identité et un background plus assumé. Co-fondateur du Fata Morgana et résident de la radio depuis 4 ans, aujourd'hui il endosse une casquette de curateur en proposant davantage à des artistes émergeants de montrer leur univers à la radio. 

Pour ce premier épisode, c'est Zahra qui s’empare du booth pour nous proposer un set entre nappes émotionnelles, breaks sombres, riddim suintants et edit de tes tracks préférées. Elle nous propose une selecta sans limite de style, à l’image de ses influences bass mais aussi latines, afro, ou encore hip hop.

7 Weapons Series is the latest set of hybrid club tracks from the Beijing based producer Howie Lee on Belgian label Maloca Records.

Known for fusing traditional Asian sounds into the experimental clubbing field, Howie Lee pushes the boundaries in order to access a broader sound palette. Styles and elements are always mixed ingeniously; Tibetan chanting, middle-eastern zurna, syncopated drums, deep and modern bass, buoyant jazz chords - it’s difficult to know what to expect.

His latest release, ‘7 Weapons Series’, is inspired by the Gu-Long’s novel series ‘Seven Weapons’, although the actual song names have nothing to do with the original series. On the album, Howie explores the effect of sampling, experimenting with what it means to take the sounds and give them new meaning and context.

Co-founder of the Do Hits label, Howie Lee has made his mark globally with futuristic productions on labels such as SVBKVLT, Alpha Pup Records, Trap Door and more.
