More deeep DNB

We're back. This time crawling back into the dark and cavernous (but welcoming) caves of dubstep.

To kick off our first bit of 140 this year, we're drafting in someone new to the Mercurial ranks. Off the back of some killer releases in 2020, we're super gassed to welcome KALEE to the Murky Crew.

The A side, 'Prodromal', is an intensely gritty experience. Industrial, alien and warped; dubstep that really pushes into the experimental realms. To be honest, this tune scared us a little bit, and we love it.

The B side, entitled 'Retrieval', completely turns the release on its head, comprised of twinkling, arpeggiated keys and skipping percussion, while still maintaining an aggressive, bass-driven rawness.

We really hope you like being (just a little bit) terrified.

Here is a clip for 'Readjusting', the final track off our Karma EP for @thechikaraproject. 

Fun fact: One day while in our Sinking Ship studio (R.I.P.), our neighbours Eric and Brett were hanging shelves. It sounded pretty cool through the wall, so we fired up the Zoom and hit record. Those recordings became most of the percussion sounds used in this tune.

Subquake Sounds Aki. has been making a wave recently with his mad sharp production skills and heavy array of dubplates which have been turning many heads in the scene. Recently he has had stellar releases on Coki’s ‘Don’t Get It Twisted’ imprint as well as ‘Substantial Audio’ and ‘Subquake Sound’. Here he brings four diverse tracks ranging from the straight up deep and dark anthem that is ‘Shimmer Dub’ to the old school 2006 vibes of Artefakt and Cesspool. Incurzion Audio are proud to welcome a talented newcomer to the label, Bristol based Dedman, who has provided a huge and heavy hitting release - "My Heart EP". Guaranteed to ravage your sound system, Dedman has put together a serious collection of low-end driven drum and bass tracks, complete with a brilliant remix courtesy of Myth.

The title track "My Heart" is a deep but soulful number with a striking vocal and a beautifully complementing bassline, the progression of the track calculated and purposeful, and the sound engineering precise and perfectly fitting the vibe. The rest of the EP follows in equal measure of quality and power, and maintains the deep, bass-heavy nature throughout, however the soulful descriptor must dropped and can only be replaced with the word brutal.

Incurzion Audio gladly welcome Dedman to the label with this monster of a release, we can't wait to hear more.
