The Wirelab team are back in action with renewed determination to release their music into the world on a regular, consistent schedule.

CJW leads the charge on this EP with remix support from Tom Schippers. Brainstorm EP presents three new slices of great techno, bringing some authentic deep dub techno sounds while keeping the pace with tracks aimed to drive the dancefloor to a frenzy. With Tom Schippers at the helm on remix duties, he delivers a blistering reinterpretation of 'Electrical Impulses' locking in the groove and maintaining a massively satisfying breakdown and drop.

Hailing from Viedma, the Argentinean artist Volon brings a decade of seasoned expertise behind the decks to his latest offering, the "Mi Propósito" EP, coming soon on Logia Records. The parcel is a testament to his profound dedication to electronic music's foundational tools, showcasing a love affair with legendary drum machines and vintage synthesisers that informs his entire creative process. His journey as a selector effortlessly bridges the gap between timeless House rhythms and the more shadowy, contemporary corners of Techno, a versatility clearly present across this release. The package includes two of his own compelling original works, augmented by reinterpretations from two young and promising figures in the scene: Papo Urricariet and Borja.

The second half of the EP is elevated by Borja’s exceptional rework of the title cut. The La Plata-based force expertly pivots the original’s intention into a driving, peak-time weapon. He constructs a powerful, undulating low-end that provides a formidable foundation, over which he layers luminous, evolving melodic phrases. These elements weave together to create rich, textured soundscape, guiding the listener on a compelling journey. We thus also become subject to sudden and unpredictable changes of moods and to whims and caprice of life. Like the planet Mercury, we split into two. Our one-half freezes in endless darkness, while the other half glitters with a perfect shade of orange under the rays of our one and only sun. We thus become the Mercurials. We live through different tones of life, swinging from ice to fire.

Certain life experiences evoke certain emotions, and these emotions, at once, push thoughts to the surface - thoughts that puncture our life. An experience thus turns into an anchor that we hold fast and remember forever.

Contrary to traditional music labels, Mercurial Tones is about these experiences which are simultaneously fleeting and enduring, dislocating and connecting.  

The Mercurial Tones is about us; it is about the ceaseless battle that we fight with ourselves, creating this Mercurial cacophony. And it is about our story which will resonate throughout the universe, carving out a piece of art from this formless, anarchic background.
