Now here's an interesting project! The LIQUATECH sound comes to MUM. This track was first heard at a Rulers Of The Deep gig in Estonia where the MUM A&amp;R team just happened to be... when this track dropped the whole place errupted. A standout track from the night and the deal was struck there and then. DJ Meri (aka Cylon and one half of Rulers Of The Deep) shook hands on this project over several gallons of beer and other unmentionable beverages and so a few months later the package is complete with remixes from Mark Holmes and Spin Science - and already has the support of Tom Middleton, a champion of the Liquatech sound, who received a very early copy of the original.

An interesting project not only because of how it was discovered but als! o because of the Liquatech sound. Fusing Deep House and painstaking analogue production techniques akin to methods used by the likes of Adam F to produce an exceptionally big and warm bass which we're all familiar with from the drum &amp; bass scene. Stunning vocals and smooth melody from Eva K complete the orginal beautifully to jaw dropping results and the instrumental version drops just as well. Ultimately with the production pedigree of Meri / ROTD you know you're in for a treat...

Meri’s myriad recordings under the names like DJ Meri or Rules Of The Deep encompass numerous styles all deeply rooted in the grooves of early dance music and old school rave roots. 

By the end of 90’s he had already released music on seminal labels like Defected, Ovum, Cr2, Hooj Choons, Peppermint Jam, NRK Music, and Record Union among many others and had set up some of biggest dance events his native Estonia had ever seen.

His extensive gig schedule had taken him to such legendary venues like Pacha in Ibiza, Mambo Cafe in the same balearic Island, Ministry Of Sound in London, Discotheque in New York, Crobar in Miami, Parke Extremo in Equador, Turnmills in UK, the list goes on and on. 

It’s no understatement to say that Meri has been there since the inception of electronic music culture to the present day, always keeping himself active and his ear to the pulse. Whether it has been doing his 20-years-and-running radio show Tallinn Express, producing music for his own project or for dance music legends like Crystal Waters or accepting awards for the best production/composition work in the Estonian music awards.

Now coming armed with new music which faithfully emulates his early breakbeat, acid and electro influences (and those already mentioned very important warehouse rave roots), he’s once again fresh as ever and enthusiastic to present his current sound of breaky drums, pop leaning vocals and keys as well as club rumbling bass.

He has prepared a cascade of new singles, some of them more  vocal, some more instrumental, all reflecting the 30-year of experience in electronic music culture, strong song writing skills and those late nights with a bag of records, an awesome crowd, pints of beer and unforgettable memories on the DJ booth and dance floor alike.
