Groovy Techno and Deep House

Double Cheese is the project of Saw Deep and Shred’er whose initial concept is to break free from the common codes of electronic music and to merge several inspirations in order to bring a renewal to the different musical scenes in which this project is part. By bringing syntheses and complex structures on a minimal techno basis, they mix their knowledge to create a hybrid style of their own. This set contains tracks from their upcoming EP.

Looking through some old hard drives I discovered a collection of some of the earliest Merkaba songs that never saw the light of a release.

Back then my production was evolving swiftly so that when I put together my first EP for Zenon in 2010, The Thirteenth Step, all the tunes that came before that seemed redundant to me.
Sometimes as an artist when we have a large amount of time away from our early works and we re-discover them again and we are able to listen with fresh ears and with less self judgement.

Listening to these tunes again I can feel the pure joy, excitement and experimentation I was striving for as I birthed the Merkaba sound.

If you were on the dance floors of an Aussie Bush Doof around 2008-2011, you might remember this magical time.

This Hadra Records Session is by NE YAM. Mickaël aka Ne Yam was rocked by music from a very young age, and embarked on this adventure in 2018. He underwent intensive training and obtained a MAO creator diploma which he immediately applied in the field. Very quickly, he got to play at the Son Libre Festival 2018 followed by tracks seeing the day on the famous Serbian label Tesseract Studio. Particularly attentive to his quality of production, his musical universe encompasses progressive psytrance, sometimes going towards zenonesque or psytechno sounds. His musical journey continues today with the Hadra Records team with many upcoming projects on the label. About this mix Ne Yam says: "It gathers most of my releases from 2020 to 2022, as well as some unreleased tracks like my next EP "Machines Calling" which will be released soon on Hadra Records. I also added a selection of tracks from artists I particularly like such as Freedom Fighters, MVMB, Morten Granau..."

AKARI SYSTEM is On The Way To Ozora 2023. AKARI SYSTEM, also known as AKASYS, is a collaborative Techno project created by RINKADINK and AIRI. Based in Japan and producing together since 2020, RINKADINK is Werner van Jaarsveld, a producer and DJ born from South Africa. Having started DJing in his early teens, he moved to London in 2000. With his advanced technical skills and unique sound, he has released numerous tracks, performed as a headliner at many festivals and clubs and has been active in Psychedelic Trance for the past 20 years. AIRI is Felix Ando, born in Switzerland from a Swiss father and a Japanese mother. As a child he was educated as a violinist in Germany. He has been active as an electronic musician since 2004 and has played in many festivals with his enveloping sound that features a warm soundscape, thick bass, and smart composition. Please look forward to the PsyTech that they weave.
