The psychedelic sightseeing into LAB aka Renato Moreira's laboratory starts on 13rd February 2014 Thursday 8pm CET on the Trance channel.

Renato Moreira was born in 1984 in Lisbon, Portugal. Starting his route in the electronic music field in 1998, he begun to gain a taste for computorized production in that same year using Rebirth 1.0. Evolving in 2000 into the use of hosts like FL Studio, Cakewalk Sonar, Ableton Live and more recently to Cubase 5, he first had experiences in genres of electronic like breakbeat, downtempo and house, before turning to the more dark path of psychedelic trance in his selftitled project LAB, influenced by the upcoming wave of russian sounds. LAB's music is based on fast passed and groove full beats, inducing futuristic ambiences and breaks, featuring powerful mental twisting leads! In the last 8 years, LAB has performed Live Acts and DJ Sets all over the world, in festivals and parties located in places like : Everywhere, Portugal, Warsaw and Gdynia, Poland Stockolm, Sweden Prague, Czech Republic Gent and Antwerp, Belgium Innsbruck, Austria New York, USA Austin , Texas, USA San José, Costa Rica Berlin and Munich, Germany …....................................... LAB has cooperated in many production projects (new tracks and remixes) from and with artists such as Ocelot, Simian, Zik, Orestis, Claw , CPC, Mubali, Frantic Noise, Arcek, Gu, Twisted Kala, Kiryiama, Malice in Wonderland, Mania-X and Illow . Numerous releases have also been out in the last years in compilations in CD format, 2 Digital EP's and one Full Length album called "Roleplayers" , with labels such as : No Comment Records En Sof D-A-R-K Darklife Records Deviant Force Records MoonStation Records Triplag Golden Dawn Records 5th Element Records 6362 Metaforce Dead of Night Records Green Wizards Records 2to6 Records Blitz Studios ….................................... LAB "Porto In Dark" 13/02/2014

Looking through some old hard drives I discovered a collection of some of the earliest Merkaba songs that never saw the light of a release.

Back then my production was evolving swiftly so that when I put together my first EP for Zenon in 2010, The Thirteenth Step, all the tunes that came before that seemed redundant to me.
Sometimes as an artist when we have a large amount of time away from our early works and we re-discover them again and we are able to listen with fresh ears and with less self judgement.

Listening to these tunes again I can feel the pure joy, excitement and experimentation I was striving for as I birthed the Merkaba sound.

If you were on the dance floors of an Aussie Bush Doof around 2008-2011, you might remember this magical time.
