After witnessing one of their sets at Amsterdam institution @breakfast-club-music-1 last year, we felt an instant urge to invite Caim (@caim-records) to our mix series.

While Caim is a recent project, its members Tommy Kornuijt and Mark Antoni have been active in Amsterdam’s scene for years as independent DJ’s, most notably with their residency for the Breakfast Club where they have become known for extended after-hour sets. Last summer they released a first EP on their self-titled label Caim Records, with a second release scheduled for early 2019.

Our first mix of 2019 by Caim is a perfect reflection of their sound: Timeless and with a hypnotizing groove, it finely treads the line between organic techno and rolling breaks.

After many probably annoying instagram messages on my part, head honcho of Inner Varnika, Louis McCoy accepted my request for a mix in this series.

As a long time attendee and fan of the event's and let's not forget his own mix series, For Home Use Only. 
I was more than delighted to hear he could spare some time to produce a mix for this series.

What a way to bring Balearic State into the new year than a mix filled with some gooey bliss... crank out a few jazz'd cigarettes to this one.

Manni jellegzetes feszes szettjeiben pazarul kombinálja a határok feszegetését, a gépies lüktetést, az absztrakt zajt és a hagyományos klub zenét. Pályája során, bejárta Európa szerte a klubokat és naná, hogy rendszeres meghívott Berlin illusztris helyeire, mint a techno-Mekka Berghain avagy a Tresor.
Utóbbi idén jelentette meg első nagy lemezét 'The Residue' címen, de produceri munkáit már olyan nehéz súlyú kiadók is adták ki, mint a Perc Trax, Black Sun Records, Leyla Records, hogy csak egy párat említsünk.

Lokál szupportról a BRVTAL légió és szabadcsapatai gondoskodnak. Felvezetésben Mankind a Pursuit of acid fenegyereke, illetve Max Sinclair. A brit légiós után pedig AGA2L b2b Balis gondoskodik a folytatásról.

In his sets he compositions cleverly anchor stark, machine-like percussion in unprocessed field recordings and abstract noise sources, toying with the conventional boundaries between sound and music. Throughout his career, he has traveled all over Europe and has regularly invited Berlin's illustrious places like techno-mecca Berghain or Tressor. Latter as a label released his first big album 'The Residue' this year, but he also released EPs on heavyweight labels as Perc Trax, Black Sun Records, Leyla Records, to name just a few.

Local support is provided by the BRVTAL Legion and its free troops.
Embodied by Mankind, who is daredevil of Pursuit of acid and Max Sinclair. After the British legionary, AGA2L b2b Balis takes care of the continuation.
