Currently based on Gadigal land, Spiderdog is a familiar and kind face whose presence has been a welcomed addition to parties across the east coast over the past few years. This movement and love of things hard and fast have culminated in Spiderdog's creation of MEGANESIA @meganesia, a new label focusing on Hard Dance artists from Australia. Currently a fortnightly show on Area3000 radio, there are plans in the works for a list of releases with artists from across the country ~ keep your eyes peeled in early 2022.

This mix dishes up just under an hour of high-intensity DnB, bass, and hard trance. Pull your socks up kiddies, you're in for a wild ride.

Apparent Motion is back with @ekosystemlabel creators @younglemon & @eastern-distributor out of Warrang put together a thumping mix of prog stomp, nature trance and bush tech. This duo strive to create a sense of connectivity between past, present and future. They do this though music by exploring their cultural roots and relationship with the land alongside thoughts and anxieties about the impact of our current and past actions on the future we will all one day inherit.

What does high intensity motion mean to you?
"To us high intensity motion is an increase in function from the interaction between cells to movement of our thoughts and physical body. From blood flow to breath. Heightened awareness and response to external stimuli. In the context of song and dance, high intensity motion is the emancipation of individual movement which then translates to communal movement, it facilitates synchronicity and synergy."

Beyond the decks, Chanel extends their care to the BIPOC community within her city - organising workshops, events, and creating space in a considered way ((we see you)). they also have a way with cameras, lending their skills to capture images that hold a beauty unique to chanel themself.

Paryìa label head Marie Montexier comes up with the third instalment on her imprint.

After kicking off the label with records by a.b.u.3.0.3. and Small Crab, Marie is having the Vancouver based acidic specialist Overland, who delivers three cutting-edge dance floor tracks that showcase her rich and versatile fusion of classic acid techno patterns and distinctive bass music rhythms.

Rounding off the record, Marie Montexier adds a remix from the Chicago based up-and-comers Purelink. In contrast to Overland’s dark, fast, and bassy sound, Purelink re-arranged a trippy downtempo version of ‘Paloma’, resolving in the delicate, yet deliberate, chillout ecstasy, they are best known for.

Jumping into the light with force, Chintan Mistry aka Dj Mistry has managed to carve out a name for himself as a major player across an ever expanding range of styles and genres. 

We asked, what does high intensity mean to you?
For me, high intensity motion doesn’t pertain to any bpm, sound or even style of music but rather its an internal feeling felt by everyone on the dance floor at a very specific moment. It is when the Dj, the music, the venue, the weather, the dance floor, the people your with, yourself and how you feel all seem to be perfect. It is the moment when all these things align in resonance and build into energy that can be only released through everyone dancing to the limits of their bodies. No one knows how long this moment will last but everyone knows when it is happening.

We've been looking forward to this mix all year and could not be happier to wrap up 2022 with it. Expect all things typnotic techno, percussive and dubstep

'PLASMA' w/ TSUNIMAN - a monthly evening show exploring the wide spectrum of Trance music, focusing on Euro, Hardtrance and the progressive sound of the 1990s.

'PLASMA' (Плазма) is a 1997 trance track by producer Eduard Gubin (aka Cosmonaut, aka Radiotrance). "He was one of the first electronic music artists who has been successfully pulling in big crowds all over Russia and Eastern Europe. For over two decades his mission has been to transport the masses to a vivid alternate realm of progressive house, techno, breaks and trance" (RA).

@tsunimanmusic is joined by London-based queer DJ @henderson_x . 
With a background in classical and contemporary dance, they began training aged five, and have been working professionally as a dancer since 2015. As a result, their relationship with dance music and club culture is intrinsically linked to a love of movement and an understanding of the body. For HENDERSON, the dance floor provides a space for self-expression, creativity and freedom, and as a DJ, their goal is to be a catalyst for these things; for the dancers on the floor to feel that euphoric release so tied to dancing in the rave.
Also a Netil Radio dj, HENDERSON hones in on high energy, melodic grooves, while their own mix series, Hawaiian Tropics, sees them explore more soft and soulful selections. Their diverse taste and multi-genre sets—spanning house, trance, electro and more—have been picking up traction across London of late, including shows at Corsica Studios, Egg and Dalston superstore. They’ve also recently picked up a residency with new Bristol/ London Queer party ‘Organics’.

Co-founder of the @splot-wro collective and label, member of the local movement massif and host of the Night Bus radio show on Radio Luz immersed us in his joyful and euphoric mix full of cheeky UK hardcore tracks, broken drums and classics of the genre from the 90s. And all this sprinkled with sweet and kitschy vocals.
