Their music reflects the beautiful and real intersection of blackness and queerness, as they work to become "the unapologetic Jill Scott of black lesbians". 

Beyond music, Meryahchology is an Africana Studies lecturer, holds a BA in Africana Studies, a. Masters of Public Administration (MPA), and is completing an interfield PhD in Cultural Studies and Policy.
