Home Life EP is the first EP release from Lookstare.

The opening track “Waking hours” wakes you up with punchy 909-style drum programming with hints of acid vibe.

“Glare of sun” captures the feeling of looking directly to the sun; optimism and flute sounds.

“Meanings” builds around a spoken word -sample, surrounded by layers of synth melodies.

Retro sounding “Video Call” builds up to be a dance-floor burner. There is a hint of vocoder also!

“So much go on” was supposed to be a techno track. It ended up as a bass-heavy moody synth track.

Torolf Stendik delivers a masterpiece of remix in a puzzle-like acid jam to.


Lookstare is the artist name for Jaakko Liesmäki, or DJ Matlåck. He is a long-time consumer of house, electro and disco. He stepped into music production in 2020.

Lookstare draws his inspiration from anything that can be labelled “old-school”, however trying to keep things contemporary.

OLLI KOPONEN, a familiar face on Snakecast, ends 2025 (The Year of the Wood Snake in the Chinese Zodiac) with a house mix . The mix slithers between many styles of house music. Pumping up classic tracks and lesser known underground bangers from 90s all the way to 2020s. This year, on top of DJ gigs, Olli has been working at the recycling center pricing and handling clothes (image for mix taken directly from the conveyer belt!). Music is always playing while working, and the favourite online radiostation for over 10 years has been Intergalactic FM and especially Disco Fetish channel. After work Olli enjoys his time swimming or skateboarding at a snakerun.
