it’s not the finish but the race

This new indie album is my way of capturing the feeling of autumn nights, quiet rooms, and the strange beauty of being close to someone while the world fades outside. The songs are minimal in words but heavy in mood — sweaters, rain, shadows, and light all becoming part of the story. It’s melancholic but also cosy, a blend of intimacy and distance, memory and desire. These tracks live somewhere between Fleetwood Mac’s mysticism, Beach House synths and the hazy trance of indie and dream-pop.

Cold Hands

Man is head over heels in love, i.e. "Just One Love" and he's singing her praises. He's not really at the Eiffel Tower, but it's in the lyrics. You'll have to listen to learn more.

A song about an 18th centuary local highwayman. Ruthless in his ways. Now, lost to time. Said to still roam the old roads and trackways of Hobson Moore. 
Some have seen the Ghost of a headless rider in the area. Others have heard the sound of hooves and the sound of a flintlock being fired in the dead of night. Is Captain Bishop still out there?

The song title says it all, well almost all. The complete sentence is "Regrets serve no good if no lesson's understood." It's a dreamy dream pop tune but with a message many people could benefit from...not you of course.

SEPTEMBER

MUSIC MADE IN CANADA: Music has been a large part of my life since my teen years when I started playing guitar. Used to play popular pop and country songs in bars, songs written by other artists but for past couple decades have focused entirely on writing and producing my own songs across a number of genres: pop, country, blues, and more recently dream pop and what I'm calling whiskey blues dream pop, a style that merges the two and that seems complimentary to my ear. I believe each style can sound good and give people pleasure: that's my goal in writing. Now I produce sounds featuring both male and female vocals as the lyrics dictate; variety is the spice of...well, you know. Thanks for listening.
