Samy Dib and Jonathan Delachaux have accompanied Poupa Honk for several years during concerts or studio sessions. This collaboration had already given rise to productions like "The Handless Spacewalker" or "Pressure Warning", pieces in which guitar and clarinet dialogue with beats and digital bass. 

With "Golden Lowness", Poupa Honk takes again this same formula and lets speak freely its main influences like Rock-steady, Cumbia or Hip-hop, but never let a style take over, a crossbreeding still reinforced by the influences Rock and Jazz by Samy and Jo. 

During the production of the album, a great place was made improvisation and this approach, associated with the sounds of the electric guitar and the bass clarinet, brings an organic and deeply human side to a music in which the sounds digital devices are willing to put forward just as the treatment "Lo-Fi" of certain sounds. 

There is also an interest for the synthetic and the "cheap" in the work of macro-photography that Poupa Honk realizes for the visuals that accompany his music, a work based on the series and the homogeneity. Homogeneity that is found also in the five titles of "Golden Lowness".

Samy Dib y Jonathan Delachaux han acompañado a Poupa Honk durante varios años durante conciertos o sesiones de estudio. Esta colaboración ya había dado lugar a producciones como "The Handless Spacewalker" o "Pressure Warning", piezas en las que la guitarra y el clarinete dialogan con ritmos y bajo digital. 

Con "bajeza de oro" Poupa Honk repite esta misma fórmula y permite hablar libremente sobre sus principales influencias tan firme como una roca, cumbia o el hip-hop, pero nunca dejar un estilo de asumir el control, una mezcla reforzada por la influencias Rock y Jazz por Samy y Jo. 

Durante la producción del álbum, se hizo un gran lugar improvisación y este acercamiento, asociado con los sonidos de la guitarra eléctrica y el clarinete bajo, aporta un lado orgánico y profundamente humano a una música en la que los sonidos los dispositivos digitales están dispuestos a presentar al igual que el tratamiento "Lo-Fi" de ciertos sonidos. 

También son de interés para el sintético y "barato" en el trabajo de fotografía macro Honk Poupa lo convierte en música de acompañamiento visual, un trabajo basado en la serie y homogeneidad. Homogeneidad que se encuentra también en los cinco títulos de "Golden Lowness".

Johnny Marr was first conceived when I heard the French expression "J'en ai marre" (I've had enough) which to my English ears sounded a bit like Johnny Marr and it inspired a crime thriller type tale of a serial killer, also inspired by Talking Heads "psycho killer) 
Unbeknown to me Johnny Marr is a famous guitar player in The Smiths, complete coincidence, there was no reference to him, but quite funny that Baptiste's guitar parts in the 2007 version sound a bit like him!

Le producteur Schvédranne s’associe de nouveau au poète iconique de la beat generation Jack Hirschman sur le titre Virginia Tech. Un pamphlet s’attaquant à la frénésie des armes à feu aux USA sur une musique électronique croisant poésie et messages de luttes politiques.

Après At The Lips Of A Kiss, Arme de Destruction Massive et Path, Schvédranne dévoile Virginia Tech. Un titre au nom dramatique de l’Universite qui a subi sur son campus une des fusillades les plus meurtrières de l’histoire des Etats-Unis. Sur cette thématique, Schvédranne va livrer une techno sombre et progressive imaginant le parcours de l’auteur de cet événement tragique. Jack Hirschman intervient et délivre son texte émanant de sa voix rauque et atypique. « The loner is me, the one who stopped listening, the one with the hidden fuse, with the fist of blind clench, with the hole in his heart, with the cool guns. »

Guidé par cette ambiance mystérieuse agrémentée de basses, de triturages de textures sonores et de samples de claviers issus des lives band de Schvédranne, on se retrouve capturé par cet univers électronique surprenant.

Le poète dresse alors une métaphore entre cette fusillade et les exactions orchestrées par l’armée américaine à Bagdad lors des guerres du Golfe. “and now you know what a market in old Bagdad feels like with its victims as in the wrong place at the wrong time.” Au mauvais endroit, au mauvais moment, c’est sur cette thématique que Schvédranne et Jack Hirschman vont se questionner sur ce à quoi peut ressembler une place de marché à Bagdad.

La réponse se trouve dans cette musique techno-spoken word hypnotique où les références à wikileaks, les notions historiques et l’émotion des mots, se marient à la puissance des sons, eux mêmes inspirés des scènes underground anti-militaristes et des raves berlinoises. Virginia Tech dresse le bilan lourd et meurtrier de la politique d’armes à feu et des guerres initiée par les Etats-Unis. Face à ça, le binôme invite à l’émancipation de l’humain en se rassemblant sur le dancefloor afin de se libérer de ces multiples oppressions.

Met.h.ode est une fusion expérimentale Trip-Hop / Hip-Hop :
En 2013, Nawak British, compositeur et pianiste rencontre Dawa, auteur et chanteuse.
Ils sont rejoints peu de temps après par Dunbaar à la basse. L'histoire de Met.h.ode éclos, à travers des histoires d'enfants et des chimères de voyages. En 2017, la famille éclectique s'agrandit, avec Ludovic Goulet (Dubba Do) à la guitare et aux claviers.
Ils nous livrent un monde imaginaire et contemplatif, un Trip-Hop intemporel, inspirés par des artistes tels que Robert Wyatt, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Portishead ou Air. 

Met.h.ode à partagé la scène avec Zenzile, Lo’jo, Pigeon John, Jukebox Champions..
