Something About Settler Colonialism, the debut release by KØBA DØBA (aka Mr. Babadook), is a bold foray into dark psytrance/psycore, marked by its abstract, experimental sound that defies genre conventions. 

With a unique blend of polyrhythmic tribal percussion, glitchy drone elements, and eroded textures, this release oscillates between slambient and ethnocore, occasionally introducing subtle hints of jazz, creating an immersive, psychedelic experience. The album opens with "Drone(s) Over Khan-Younis", a haunting reflection on the experience of living under relentless military surveillance. This is followed by "Sikiyn Yuqasim Al-Quds" (A Knife Divides Jerusalem), a stark portrayal of a society fractured by settler violence. The third track, "West-Bank Story", introduces jazz-infused elements, reflecting on the dual nature of walls, both physical and metaphorical. The EP closes with "Lumpenravetariat", a powerful critique of the psychedelic community’s role in confronting social and political issues.
