Beauty and Brutality

This VA seeks to unveil the immaculate metric, the perfect alchemy of harshness and gentleness, of grace entwined with violence. For beauty and brutality arise at the very conception of narrative: twin, complementary forces of life that awaken novelty, the eternal cosmic dance of creation and destruction.

The music unfolds as testimony: bass lines that strike with raw force, melodies that embrace with tenderness. Each track reminds us that joy and sorrow are carried in the same breath, that collapse and renewal, despair and devotion, walk hand in hand.

The artists offer fragments of their journeys: trials endured, spirits broken and restored, their commitment renewed in sound. This is not only music but witness, a reminder that to love the world as it is, in its wounds and wonders, is the hardest vow.

Beauty and brutality are not enemies, but mirrors, reflecting us back to ourselves, guiding us toward wholeness and awakening.

Let this compilation speak where words fall short: of darkness and light, of heaviness and grace, of the paradox at the heart of existence. A sonic invocation to face the abyss, and to love it anyway.

Otto Lilienthal is a symbol. His striving for the conquest of the third dimension is exemplary of our innate human desire to transcend our seemingly two-dimensional lives, with often just a vague idea where this might lead.

For Lilienthal it led him to his death, where he met Ouroboros, the serpent biting its own tail, and realized who he is.

For us it can be a hint - guiding us inward into the great halls of sacrifice, where we too will learn to recognize the taste of our very self.

The husk strenuously takes flight, the core remains everywhere, knowing.

You are the love with which I love you.

He landed his UFO, coming from the far depths of the universe, in 1982 in a small town in southern Germany. Since joining the Dream Factory and Goa Gil in 1998, Aaron Banzhaf, influenced by musicians and artists of the Psychedelic Art & Music Scene and a love of chaos and freedom, has developed his own style to carry his message to us earthlings. He combines crazy, provocative and spiritual influences with driving, fast basses and other sounds. His music breaks boundaries, rearranges thought patterns, and unites the technoid and organic sounds of Mother Nature into a unity, never forgetting the importance of Gorgonzola. He manages to transform gravity, fear and system loyalty into fluffy carelessness and freedom to be open again to the important things in life like Gorgonzola. His driving and uplifting music has kicked our ass all the way through the universe. He reminds us with his super toxic music that we are all just talking monkeys in a big ufo that flies through the universe.
