Album tribute to Goa Gil
“A ritual studies analysis of Goa Gil's "Redefining the Ancient Tribal Ritual for the 21st Century," commonly known as the "Goa Trance Party" or "Psychedelic Trance Party." The phenomenon is looked at from the points of view of Emile Durkheim, Victor Turner and Max Weber. Dukheim's theories are used to establish the event as social or secular ritual. The phenomenon is then shown to fit Turner's conception of ritual structure, following the pattern of a rite de passage. Finally, the role of Weberian charisma in the figure of Goa Gil, the DJ, is considered. Ultimately the phenomenon is argued to be "ritual" contingent on all three points of view, the charismatic dynamic allowing for the successful application of ritual structure and resulting in a specifically "ritual" type of collective effervescence.”

At the invisible intersection of the ancestral and the futuristic, a new form of alchemy emerges: the fusion of voodoo and digital technology. Voodoo with its deep roots in West Africa and its vibrant expansion in the Caribbean and Latin America is more than a religion: it is a symbolic language, a spiritual system of connection with the invisible, with the loas the spirits who mediate between worlds.

Today this language is translated into digital codes sounds and visuals. The preset, as a contemporary artifact becomes a new totem: a pre-established configuration charged with intention, rhythm, and aesthetics. Thus the masks of ancestors are redrawn in video filters sacred drums are replicated in electronic sequences and rituals manifest in immersive experiences

VA FORMA MELODIA

VA Forma Melodia is an experimental / psycore compilation involving 11 producers & 11 illustrators. This project brings different art types and different artists together.

Forms reflect the sound, melody illuminates the darkness and colors of the sunset brighten our dreams. We believe music harbors everything inside and types of art always need to be connected. We can have an imaginary journey of sound inside the music.

Music creates the space and time, the atmosphere and the characters. Inside one track you can travel through a liquid story of melodies. Music is an art form which contains every kind of art inside; and more specifically music contains everything that we can imagine. Every type of art can inspire and be inspired from each other. Especially music has been the biggest inspiration for other types of art. With this album we want to connect different artists together and visualize the sound.

All tracks have similar kind of experimental / deep and psycore tunes from different artists. Illustrators involved have different art styles; but we tried to match the producers and designers according to the sense of their art styles. This album has an art story related with the tracks. Each track has one artwork made with inspiration received from the track. Artists tried to visualize the sound using their own creative ways. There are 11 tracks / 11 artworks inside this album.
