Our 25th Anniversary slot this week features Richard Dorfmeister who appeared on the show in 2003 and featured many times as one half of Kruder and Dorfmeister, as well as his project Tosca with Rupert Huber, amongst others. Opening with ECM artist Steve Tibbetts, his mix floats between Gui Boratto, his own lush edit for Selah Sue, acoustic guitar of Jeb Loy Nichols and the dubbed out Rhythm & Sound featuring Cornell Campbell on vocals. He then weaves through Pat Metheney, the dub version of Sunset from Grace Jones' last album, blues from Ry Cooder and ending with a couple of tracks from his recent Tosca album 'Odeon'.

We continue 25 years of Solid Steel with a mix from Photek, a legendary figure in music since the early nineties who featured many times on the show with tracks from Modus Operadi, Form & Function up to Pyramid from his recent album Ku:Palm, plus 'Into the 90's' from 1994 that also featured on Coldcut's Journeys by DJ mix CD. We had Part 1 in January and we continue with more electronic soundscapes from John Pfeiffer, Brian Eno and Gil Melle, soundtracks from Jerry Goldsmith, Quincy Jones and Lalo Schiffrin and the electronic duo of Macolm Cecil and Robert Margouleff with Tonto's Expanding Head Band and their giant Tonto synth, which sound went on to feature in the legendary works of Stevie Wonder, Gil Scott Heron, Bobby Womack.
