Julien collaborated with Experimental Jazz guitar player, Thomas Carbou, on the track “Family Chest”, to give a mechanical but however humanized initiatory journey in the meanders of modern experimental music.

The dissonant thrum of opposed antigravity fields ripped through the nighttime skyline as a retrofitted RP-19 Levette drifted past the 322nd-story windows of a corp tower, its fusion engine expelling an intense burst of helium gas that drifted quickly into the harvesting drones hovering above the airway. Nipping at its tail came a squadron of automated enforcer skiffs in 3-point formation that moved in perfect synchronization to block any possibility of backward escape by the target they pursued. As the chase opened up into a straightaway, the enforcer skiffs unleashed a barrage from their tuned resonance armaments, specifically designed to utilize the antigravity frequencies of the megacities’ airways to lock a pursued vehicle in gravitic stasis for ease of capture.

Sensing this imminent outcome, the pilot of the Levette prepared himself for a most dangerous maneuver requiring phase-perfect timing, in which failure meant an instantly fatal flattening at the hands of rapid gravitic deceleration As the first of the resonance pulses impacted the frame of his vehicle he disabled its antigravity buffer entirely, an action of momentary duration that seemed to stretch out into eternity. The walls of the city’s superstructures warped their shape beside him as an infinitesimal instant of hypergravity bent light around the frame of his vehicle before subsuming him in total darkness. Then, a blinding flash of light sent him skidding out above the vast desert wasteland surrounding the megalopolis that had been his home. As he came slowly to a halt over 30 seconds and 300 kilometers from his entry point, the pilot breathed a sigh of relief. A successful gravitic warp was something most perished attempting, and his had borne him his freedom in his escape from THE CHASE.

REDPILL returns to EATBRAIN after his debut album on the mighty BLACKOUT, with a helping of lightspeed sonics for the eager ears of the label’s horde, who have long awaited another dose of the artist’s cinematic and scientifically toned tracks. Within THE CHASE, REDPILL’s latest creations unleash their addictive energy at a breakneck pace, leaving listeners awestruck in the wake of the EP’s unrelenting charge.

Masked to avoid identification for their multitude of mischievous sonic escapades, two figures hopped out of their low-risen vehicle, gently ghost-riding it into position for their latest pop-up performance. As the vehicle came to a halt, a complex series of servo motors retracted the hood of their gold-tinted car, procuring from within its depths a pristine set of twin turntables that smelled slightly of motor oil. Expertly, the pair procured both a microphone and a video camera, preparing to broadcast their location to the loyal fanbase that sought to follow their every move. As they sent the broadcast live the pair remained crouched behind their vehicle, eagerly awaiting the crowd they knew would soon descend upon their chosen locale.

As the vanguard of their most veteran fans arrived at the site mere moments later, the pair leaped into action, popping their vehicle’s trunk to reveal a speaker array set to rock at least the next 5 nearest blocks. As one of the masked figures deftly guided the tonearm & needle into the grooves of their first record renegade rhythms began to rip out of their concealed speaker stack, and the pair knew that their countdown had begun. Picking up the mic, the second of the pair unveiled his staccato verbal style, delivering verse after verse in an unending & masterful flow. After some time, the duo knew they’d have to go, or they’d risk the wrath of the evil 5-0. They dropped one last beat, flipped their hood, and took their seats, speeding off towards their next performance on the streets.

TESSERACTS make their EATBRAIN debut with TWO TURNTABLES AND THE MIC , an EP that draws on Drum & Bass’ OG influences in combining Neurofunk sound design with the west-coast hip-hop rhythms the Polish duo favors. Together, these elements combine to create an EP with a signature flow that’s set to elate the ears of the EATBRAIN horde.

Across the undercity streets that lay beneath the hoverways of his home metropolis sped an inventor astride a singular scooter, a creation cobbled together from technologies long disregarded by most of his mechanically minded contemporaries. Though the roadways of the undercity had long laid untended and were now riddled with potholes, bumps, and obstacles of all sorts the inventor rode on undaunted, assured in the multifaceted capabilities of his two wheeled contraption.

Flanked by twin ride-along automaton’s that constantly aided in attending to the vehicle’s maintenance, the inventor headed his convoy with reckless abandon. A flick of the handlebars would engage a brief maglev pulse launching him sufficiently above any obstruction, whilst a set of inertial dampeners prevented any ill fated injuries on the return vector of any such launch. The vehicle’s wheelbase could be adjusted mid-ride, allowing for precise control or a smoother ride as the inventor saw fit, and he could rest himself upon the seat of an ancient bicycle should he wish, an item of rare provenance indeed given the longtime adoption of levitation based transportation by all those around him. Though he admired the technical feat of that transportation mode, the inventor far preferred his own device. To feel the road beneath one’s own feet was a luxury many had forgotten, and as he accelerated into the glistening urban night he relished in the freedom that he found in doing so.

CURRENT VALUE returns to EATBRAIN with ACCELERATION, speeding to the fore of the label’s horde with four inventive neurofunk sequences inspired by the components & creation of his own unique vehicle.

Far he had fallen, ripped from his brother’s side by and cast into the formless depths of the astral plane. He had fallen swiftly into the yawning cavern of his own mind, tumbling through deep within, through a chaos that cried in shifting unison as he fought to cling to reason. Brief silhouettes of the triumphs he had shared with his brother flashed swiftly across his inner eye, each victorious moment draped in cold darkness as he fell deeper into that horrid realm; the euphoria that coated his memories dissolving into nothingness as he grasped at the shadows of their promised salvation. Beneath him lay only a vast umber, formless and infinite, he felt the growing presence of that most isolated oubliette, from which malevolence and despair radiated like heat from scorched earth. In a staunch refusal to be defeated, he flung his hand outwards, seeking solace in a final moment of defiance against the eternal condemnation that threatened to swallow him, as the dark shroud of souls washed up against his body.

It reached down wrapped in silence, his brothers hand, the glowing exuberance of its life penetrating the void through which he fell. Grasping for his own hand with the synergistic strength that only one other could provide. Its strength, its life force, carried him upwards towards his deliverance. The darkness around him began to fade, the filthy souls of the chaos below slipping downwards and away from him, but his brother’s form was still obscured. He yearned most of all to stand beside him once more, to overcome this trial together as they always had done, their fight against mortality not insurmountable as every other pitfall of life had been. Pinpoints of light shone through ahead, fragments of the astral realm that lay above the calming natural darkness of his own, the bleak impossible cousin of the world he had fallen through and ascended from anew. The threshold between the abyss and their old world lay ahead. As they passed through, the brothers emerged side by side, ready to stand unified against the forces that had attempted to tear apart their bond. They moved with force, tearing themselves their own path through the strength of their synergy. Beyond the threshold, they stood in awe, delivered from the abyss, trembling as the connection between them pulsed anew.
