Years ago, I had one of the lifetime experiences at Slow Bar.'s (https://soundcloud.com/slowbar) Hoppla Festival in Kassel when I first heard downtempo music live. Thee magical days, that live with me ever since.

I am releasing a track called "Sadamde," which is available for free download.

I once shared with my closest friends that the ultimate test for me to determine if a track is truly remarkable is when I catch myself singing along to its rhythm on the parties. 

I tried to bring my singing style in "Sadamde", which I normally do while partying and listening to the music by amazing artists.

We are back to the scene with a new release from Da Iguana, traveler and producer based in the French West. This 20th release, with its 7 original mixes, is the proud Hard Fist first mini LP, snaking around in the mind, like a serpent in the forest.

After a first LP in 2018 on Berlin-based label Ubran Cosmonaut Radio, Da Iguana gained exposure and was allowed to play in Europe and Mexico, and to showcase his countless releases of multicultural psychedelic music, global bass and electro-organic music. Now one of the most prolific producers in the global bass and downtempo scene - more than 100 tracks for the past 4 years - he has been working with many well-known imprints such as Playground records, Serenades, Randome Collective…only to name a few. Cumbia digital, organic downtempo, psychedelic & indie house, ambient grooves, he plays around with groovy bass gimmicks, tribal rhythms, traditional music sampling and real instruments such as guitar, bass guitar, oud or even kalimbas. He also launched his own label, Reptilian Business Records, which is all about psychedelism and multiculturalism: a sneaky reptile mixing roots, genres, styles with open-mindedness & passion at all tempos. 

Present of the Future Pasts is a musical stroll, bringing the mind from one place to another. Da Iguana refers to reptilians for a reason: he produces cold blood music, explosive and unpredictable, with synths that have a reptilian scales texture and chameleon colors. In this mini LP you’ll find slow, almost still parts, and suddenly running or undulating, attacking or hiding. 
The music here is all about contrast. Duality is everywhere in nature: beautiful but dangerous, day and night, cold and hot, light and dark, life and death. Da Iguana is amazed how things are connected, how something positive can underline something negative, how opposites attract each other. This is how he built this 7 track LP: sometimes slow and deep, sometimes fast and high, bringing you to many places at once.
Last but not least, Da Iguana’s work is mixing cultures. Because he is traveling a lot, he cooks fusion, mixes fusion, and lives fusion. Mixing cultures is one of the rare aspects of globalization that he finds beautiful and he shows it brilliantly with this release, strongly inspired by the coolest thing about world music.

Bright purple pastel tones came to my mind when I was interacting with the overall sound design of this piece.
The color palette was accomplished by the smoky voice of my friend Micka, which we recorded my little studio here in Leipzig.

Everyone has their own way of answering this question and there are many paths to the goal. Landhouse goes his own way and stays true to himself. Nevertheless, he always develops his sound a little further, so that you notice that there is a person behind this project. 

The Goomland Ep is a journey from slow tech to classic anecdotes with a lot of ambient. If you listen to the last track you will be rewarded with the fabulous "Plenten Tum". A track that has already caused great enthusiasm at the first listening of the demo.
