Want You Gone

This is an arrangement of the Haunted Forest level theme from Tiny Toon Adventures on the NES. I made it for a weekly composition challenge on the 8 bit music theory discord server.

The challenge was to arrange for a quintet of one string instrument, one wind instrument, one keyboard instrument, one percussion instrument, and a fifth instrument of any type you want.

I chose contrabass, clarinet, pipe organ, marimba and vocals.

Lyrics:

Here we are now in the haunted forest.
It is so scary.

The trees... have really scary faces.
There are... bats flying everywhere around me
but they... look kind of cute so maybe they are not so bad.

If you're playing as Dizzy Devil
then you can break the blocks.
but if you're playing as Furrball
then climb up the trees.

Hedgehogs... will try to take out.
Squirrels... are running up and down the trees
and when... I was a kid, I thought they had two tails!

With the buzzing bees right on my heels
I run... and I jump!
I'm not gonna try to find Hamton's room
'cause it's way too hard.

I've found... the end of level door.
Finally... I'll leave this scary forest level
but if... Elmyra catches me, I'll go right back to start.
